A fast one...
In reading the latest Cyclenews about Eric Bostrom (who according to Zoran is gay by the way), who is going to Brazil to farm 6,000 acres I find it somewhat interesting. Firstly that he has never seen the place before yet he owns it, secondly is that it was supposed to be a "take care of itself kind of thing" yet the entire acreage is not being farmed right now.
I don't know much but I'll bet he is back in 3 months looking for a ride. I really question his "extra capacity upstairs" given what the article is saying.

I never said he is gay, just that Berto may be hitting on him :)
get your facts straight.

I think he has a great idea.

It's crazy how one man's hell is another man's heaven.

No shit. But his extra capacity up there will figure it out. Those farmers in Brazil don't know anything......about racing motorcycles.

Linky??

Where in Brazil?

I love Brazil, and it would be awesome to put a track in one of the corners of his farm.
:)

he is just a different persona nd I think it is pretty cool... Godo luck to him... I am not sure about the gay but f-it if he is that is cool he still goes pretty good. :) Berto and he would be a pretty couple no? I think he is just "soft spoken" maybe NOT gay... But he is happy so maybe he is gay... ahhh wtf?

You livin' in the wrong city if you are worried about gay people... He is still one of the few AMA riders I would actually like to meet...or ex-AMA. :( Maybe he will build some awsome dirt track down there and invite Americans to come down and ride. :) Or maybe like that old Kawi commercial, his driveway will be one long road coarse....(my personal dream).

I agree 100% on that, just winding everybody up. My thread was more on the farming deal in Brazil and the article in Cyclenews. It sounds to me like he knows nothing about farming, has never seen the farm, but thinks his extra capacity upstairs is going to help him make it work. My bet is that it won't.

My two cents.....

A quote from http://www.ediplomat.com/np/cultural_etiquette/ce_br.htm
that might explain his motive for leaving racing and dispell Zoran's claim.

"Brazilian women can be very aggressive romantically and forward to the point of harassment. Don’t be surprised if you are in a restaurant or nightclub and a woman sends you a note asking for your phone number — even if you are with your wife or girlfriend. Foreign men traveling to Brazil should be very cautious when dealing with Brazilian women. If you don’t want the attention, be cordial but keep your distance. Don’t be overly friendly."

Oh btw, until very recently, it had one of the booming economies in the world.

I would go there too.....but don't tell my wife my intentions. She may not approve!

Seeing how I live in a farming community, I think I can say this with confidence. It doesn't take a lot of "extra capacity upstairs" to be a successful farmer. Trust me, I work with farmers a lot. Very simple minded people......come to think of it, Zoran would be a good farmer! :laughing
