It’s been many years since I have had to cross a bridge but I may be going up to Novato tomorrow with the bike from San Jose

How does one pay the tolls with no transponder?

They send you a bill if you don't have an account. You can set up an account to read your license plate as well and not use a transponder.

From Fastrak: If you drive through a toll location without a valid FasTrak toll tag or a License Plate Account, you will receive an invoice in the mail.

Found at: Fastrak

You can be lazy, wait for the invoice and pay online, no need to set up a whole account unless you intend to be needing it in the future.

Down here, they give you a 5 day window to pay on line. Basically you enter in your license plate and pay them. That doesn't happen up there? Isn't it Fastrak everywhere nowadays?

Eh, well, I guess thats the toll road, vs the express lanes. Actually they don't say you can pay online if you use those, they require a transponder.

So, I'll shut up now.

Same with FasTrack if you get mail there's a "fine" but I think that goes away if you register or just pay? I've been registered for too long to remember.
