I checked CL for Final Draft screenwriting software. Not many. One seller is selling many software for $30 a pop.

My question. How likely can this software have hidden malware in it? I have a Mac. Seller said we can meet at a Starbucks and install it to make sure it works.

i don't know shit about computers, but "working" does not mean there isn't some sneaky shit in there... in fact if you want to be sneaky you don't want anyone to know there is something wrong

More like software piracy. He installs it, provides the software key, you get an un-authorized copy, he gets your $30. Like receiving stolen goods.

What could possibly go wrong?

*cough*piratebay*cough*

I know a guy who knows a guy who's friends with a guy who tried that and it it didnt work. Keygens and Mac Mountain Lion make it a damn pain in the ass....the guy tells me.

You could pay people for their intellectual property......

I'm going to go ahead and point out the obvious here: If you just buy the software from a legitimate source you'll not have to worry.
