Nice. I could enrich the info for some of the roads near me that don’t show up on the map of my area.
 
The database has some errors up north such as 70 listed as the OQ/Bucks Lake road while the route of the OQ/Bucks Lake road is missing from the map and 32/89 being listed as CA3/Norcal/Klamath while CA3/Norcal Klamath may be missing from the map.

I really like the format and it will come in handy when planning the next multi-day ride.

Yes, thanks - the source data was only a Google Maps raw link, which does not include routes - just waypoints. I had to generate the routes, and if there are roads closed, it routes around them. Hwy 4 is like this too. If you login, you'll get an "Update" button you can use to submit name/description corrections!
 
had fun looking at roads in the Mendocino NF … will try to log in and try to add routes when I get to work. :ride

No, you don't have to join at all. You only have to create an account to add new roads or suggest changes.

I even opened an incognito window, zoomed into the south bay, clicked "Load roads here" and I see all the roads... 1768696321993.png

Alright, here’s my typical loop (not necessarily all at once) starting from South San Jose; along this route you can explore some side roads that look interesting to you, or hop on main roads to get back to where you came from. The gravel/dirt sections mentioned are not hard, doable on street tires if you take it easy, better on a lighter bike.

Almaden – McKean – Uvas – left on OakGlen – left on WillowSprings – right on Hale – right on Llagas – straight to OakGlen – right on Sycamore – right on Watsonville - (option 1 or 2) – Hazel Dell – left on Browns Valley – right on Browns Valley – right on Eureka Canyon – continue to Highland Way – left on Skyland – left on Skyland – right on Stetson – left on Soquel San Jose – right on Laurel Glen – continue to Mountain View – right on Vinehill – right on Jarvis (some gravel/dirt sections) – right on 17 N – right on Laurel – continue to Schulties (some gravel/dirt sections) – right on Old Santa Cruz Hwy – left on Summit – left on Upper Zayante – continue to E Zayante – right on Graham Hill – continue to Felton Empire – continue to Ice Cream Grade - Pine Flat (option 3 or 4)

Option 1: right on Redwood Retreat – left on Mt Madonna (grave/dirt uphill - paved downhill) – right on Hazel Dell

Option 2: HeckerPass (152) – PoleLine – Mt Madonna (paved downhill) – right on Hazel Dell

Option 3: right on Pine Flat – left on Empire Grade – right on Jamison Creek – left on Big Basin Way (236) – right on China Grade (or continue on 236 all the way to 9) – right on 236 to 9 – right on 9 toward Boulder Creek – left on Bear Creek – continue on Bear Creek to 17, or left on Skyline (35) then right on Black to 17.

Option 4: left on Pine Flat – continue to Boony Doon – right on 1 – right on Cement Plant – right on 1 – right on Swanton – right on 1N – right on Gazos Creek – continue to Cloverdale – right on Pescadero Creek – right on Alpine to Skyline (35)

Thanks, Ich, for showing the onthegomap.com map which is great. Google Maps is hopeless for this type of route planning.

On the map you showed it's easy to see instead of starting from south SJ like I usually do, starting from Los Gatos would add another 15 mi of twisty roads.

So, instead of Almaden Expressway from San Jose, start from Los Gatos, take Kennedy - right on Shannon - right on Hicks (side road off Hicks: right on Mt Umunhun Rd to the radar tower building on top, and reverse course back down to Hicks) - left on Alamitos - right on Bertram - right on Almaden Rd - right on McKean - then the rest of my original loop.
