She's not Flip? I always thought she was. Or is that only "by injection"? :teeth

Sounds like you guys already got the places worked out. The only "authentic" Filipino restaurants I know around here happen to be Goldilocks and Jollibee. :laughing

All we gotta work out now is date/time and as long as it isn't within the next two weekends I'm good to go! :thumbup

Just so this thread won't be misconstrued... this is a plan to eat at a Flip restaurant but with everyone invited... correct Scorpio VI??? :confused :teeth

This is correct. I'm thinking something along the lines of a Filipino-style breakfast (@ Alido's?), followed by a ride, followed by lunch at a Filipino restaurant (@ Ongpin's ?) and maybe a traditional siesta afterwards. :teeth

As our culture has traditionally been all-encompassing we do not seek to exclude other cultures and races and would welcome all responsible, safe, and sane riders along.

red ribbon / barrio fiesta in the southbay

just to chime in another south bay venue, there is a red ribbon in Milpitas on Main Street. red ribbon's ambience and food is like goldilocks.

not to be confused w/the evil red ribbon gang from Dragonball (Goku is my hero).

also, in milpitas, there is a white table cloth sit down place Barrio Fiesta. it is right off the Dixon Landing 880 exit.

hope this further adds to the kare kare of ideas out there.

ride safe and enjoy the sun,
j

Sounds good...I don't look filipino, but I am! Well...what about narrowing down a time and date? I'm for anything in the Fremont or Milpitas (I work in Milpitas) areas. :teeth

We can do Filipino restaurant hopping. There are a bunch in Daly City & South San Francisco and they all close to each other - Goldilocks, Alidos, Ling Nam, Sinugba, Toppings, Ongpin, Max Chicken, Jollibee, Bario Fiesta, Red Ribbon, Solitas, Tito Rey's, etc... They are all here. We can eat till we :barf

Well I guess that leaves a long drive/ride for the south bayers. But who cares.

Theres not much going on here anyways. Theres only like one flip store on an asian block.

I'm in for this!!!!

My Lola (and the rest of my Filipino family) was part of the great California migration and I'm dying to eat some good homestyle (hopefully) Filipino food!! I've been forced to eat at Goldilocks and Tess BBQ!!

For some reason I'm craving spam, garlic fried rice, and fried eggs now.

Damn, you're making me miss Frisco even more. . .:( Shiet, we used to have a Barrio Fiesta, but it went out of business. Still got Max's and Jollibee though. Do you guys have a Chow King up there?

I haven't seen or heard any Chow King restaurant in this area. They are like Ling Nam, right.
