Big5 has both brands for $79.99 and Kragen has the Quick Shade for $69.99. From talking to the sales guy at Big5 on the phone both have the legs that come out at an angle. Which one is better?

..

the quick shades arent as durable, but for a 10 bill difference, I'd get the EZ up

they're both crap!!

Get the full on E-z up that truley IS an E-Z up! It will cost you
$300 w/ shipping but ask the guys I've pitted next to and seen me set it up in 5 minutes. No re-connecting the canopy, no screwing in legs, just click and pull. Pluss, it's made out of way heaver gauge metal than the cheap one. I know it's a lot of money, esp at the p.b. level, but well worth it in the long run!
my $0.02

Eric,
Yep, that's what I did and I've been using my E-Z up for years now with no problems and anticipate that it'll be good for some years to come.

the full-blown Quick Shade is the bomb, too.

anything with the splayed legs is gonna suck.....in my experience if you don't pay around $200, it's gonna either break or rip by the third day out.....

Have both

I have had both. The upper end quickshape "compact" is duarable and heavier than the "weekender" model. It cost I believe $169 at Home depot. Betwwen the EZ up and "cheaper" Quickshade or Variflex, EZ Up is the one to get if you are on a budget. I am getting the EZ UP 10x15 next. Six bills but I will be using it for my kids ballgames, trackdays, races etc... Good luck

I have had an Ez-Up dome, an Ez-Up speed shelter, and now a caravan.

The dome was nice (9x11 i think, paid like $129.00), but within 1.5 seasons, the sun weakened the top material, and the wind simple ripped it along the seam that ran down the middle of the top. some duct tape made it work for the weekend, while a new top was needed after that.

The speed shelter is their middle end model from ez-up (9x11 I think). I think I paid about $320.00 delivered. Good price, and mine is now like five seasons old. Still going strong! the frame is excellent, the canopy is good quality. Worth the money.

I just picked up a caravan from Coscto for $195.00. (10x10), This is okay, somewhere between the speed shelter, and the dome. The frame I can tell is cheaper then the speed shelter, and the top is of the same quality. The nice part of this is the walls! Four of them to be exact. ez-up walls are like $200 for the set, while I got the walls, and a 10x10 for that price. Now I have one canopy for the bike, and another for me :)
