Anyone visited Carnegie recently ?, just wondering about the chance of being turned (capacity issues) away if I head there on Sat morn.

With Hollister closed and weekends mainly when it gets busy there, either plan on being in line before 8am and if not, you’ll probably be turned away. The last few weekends, I’ve gotten the text alerts saying they’re at capacity around 8:30-9am and then another saying they’re open and allowing folks in from 11-1:30

Great info, thanks a bunch. Wonder if they'd let a dual sport if ridden in ?

Yeah you won’t have an issue with getting in on a plated bike as long as you bring your $5 lol

Where do you register for this service?

Went today, the park was packed. Hundreds of cars inline to get in at 8:00am
Go early if you want to get in.
Conditions were dry

Was there as well, here is how it looked like 7:35 from the west side, roughly 1/2 a mile long maybe a tad less.
From the east was roughly the same.

Or just go weekend afternoons, maybe even during the week!

You can always ride the forests, I never run into issues there. In fact, yesterday was a 44mi loop and I didn’t see a single soul until mile 30. Who wants to wait in line for Carnegie? Ha ha

Hmmmm....So should I google "dirt bike friendly forests in the bay area" ?

Have you looked at the closed map?

I confess I have not....in a while.
I was just trying to provide him some options with a tree or two....if not for now, perhaps down the road.
I spend a lot of time riding Carnegie, I love it but I understand people's frustrations with it.
