Cars that make your jaw drop.

Cars that someone can buy are meh to me. Cars that someone builds, that’s what makes my pants tight.

Do you feel the same way about aircraft?

That Z8...ugh. It's like a larger Solstice GXP coupe. They took a $200K car and made it worth about $60K....

Except that's a modified Z4.

My life around cars starts around the gas crisis sometime in the 70s. We’ve been picking up muscle cars ever since then.
Here’s a couple cars for your consideration, the convertibles mine. The other one’s my friends we’re both from Novato so kind of maybe know who we are. Maybe you don’t but we’ve been burning tires off for a long long time. These cars will make the wheels spin…Motorcycles are always been part of it…..

Same year and color GTO Vert from Navy Seals; the movie IIRC, where Charlie Sheen jumps into the water from the bridge mid drive.

Man, I hate getting behind an old muscle car.

Have to put the fan on recirculate.

How did we deal with that when every car was like that in the sixties/seventies?

We had terrible air quality. When I was a kid going to school in the ‘70s in San Diego we used to have smog days when we couldn’t go outside to play. This would happen with some frequency.
My own kid, going to the same schools in the ‘00s never had any smog days at all.

That's Freedom you are smelling and should be glad you can still get a whiff, so thank that Muscle Car lover for allowing you to smell it.

Just means they don't know how to adjust a carb. If you are getting that gas smell then you are doing it wrong. If burning oil then they have other issues or a leak which happens a lot in old cars.

The carbs are adjusted one this one….

So is it exempt from smog? When I lived in CA those smog guys were assholes and couldn't see that passing in a million years. I got dinged for an air cleaner that was Ford blue on my Dodge and they denied me on visual. Rattle canned it black went to the same station and they passed me. Went home took that POS off and put on the 360 air cleaner for the other 364 days I drove it. They didn't care that my car blew 10% of the allowed particulates.

Well then its time to move back and bring my dinosaur smoker with me as a big FU to non-sensical smog laws.
IDK if they are nonsensical.

I'd hate for all cars to spew as much crap out of the tail pipe as most old muscle cars.

I don't even mind the annual, "we want to give you $1500 and crush your car" letters I get from the Bay Air Management District on my 1994 Miata.

I just toss them out.
