Catching Kittens Advice

The place I work at has a big warehouse area full of shelving and parts.
We have 4 feral kittens and there mother.
They will not go outside of the warehouse area. Unfortunately we need to catch them and either give them to the humane society or give them away to good homes.
Anyone have any good ideas on how to catch them?

Rent a Have-A-Heart trap or you can borrow mine. Works like a charm.

This one just entered the trap and it's about to close.

I used to catch feral kittens when I was a kid. The trick is to tire them out. They will still be angry and growl but if you skillfully grab them from the neck and near the tail, they won't be able to do much damage. Point their rear end away from you cuz they pee when scared. Don't ask me how I know. Also make sure the kitten's momma is not around cuz she is going to be pissed with a capital P.
 
Call VCA Cat Hospital in Saratoga, they might be able to direct you to a rescue center, try not to give them to the humane society if you can avoid it

A true feral cat will totally destroy whatever you try to pick it up with. I tried once with leather welding gloves.

The cat won.

You'd do better trying to stop a running lawnmower blade with your hands.
 
I used to work for the Palo Alto Animal Shelter about 20 years ago. It was my 2nd, weekend(p/t) job. I had to feed and clean the cages of all the animals.

Well, I learned to be VERY afraid of the Cats. The feral ones will tear you apart. I would happily go into the cage of a dog that has biten people. A dog will be your best friend if you feed it and show it love- those feral cats would NEVER be nice to me, no matter how many times I fed them.

I am going to take the safest route. I am calling different animal rescue places. Hopefully one of them will call me soon.
