CBR VS Deer

When I had owned my Ducati Monster for less than 24 hours I was on an early morning ride (couldn't sleep, you know) and came upon a deer in the road. It looked like it was safely across the road until I noticed another baby deer coming from the other side. I figured I could accelerate before the smaller deer could get in my way, but since it thought I was trying to get between it and its mother, it just ran faster. I ended up hitting it in the head with my knee, all the time with visions of crashing my brand new bike.

When I see animals in the road now, I slow WAY down.

clueless with the stunnin' slang (lol).......but wtf is a "tankslapper"?

yeah bambies are pretty wild, I came across one on 130.
He couldn't make up his mind ... "to cross or not to cross"
he was kinda going back and forth taking up 1/2 of my lane. Then decided that messing with my NINJA is not a good idea :ninjaryde and ran off. I was the full stop by that time.

It seems as if they never gain good traction and always slip at least a high percentage of the time. So if I see one I always slow way down if possible. I came around a corner and bambi jumped right in front of me loosing traction and falling down, I'm thankful for big ass rotors up front . I never assume they are going to just stay put.

Wheelie to get out of a tankslapper is a crazy, yet cool idea.
