Cheap Tire Mounting

Hi all, I'm new here from Missouri. Back home there was a locally owned shop that would mount two tires for $20. Hell, they'd let you do it yourself if you wanted to. I doubt I'll find that luxury here, but I'm looking for a cheap place (or person) around Santa Rosa to mount tires.

Thanks in advance. All of the search results were a few years old.

Check out Cycle Gear. There is one in Santa Rosa, I believe.

What kind of facilities do you have at your domicile?

DIY tire changing is actually fairly easy once you understand how it's supposed to be done. Takes me a leisurely hour or to pull both wheels and change the tires. (Hell... IMO, the majority of the work is in pulling the wheels off the bike.) Popping the bead and changing can be done with a few 2x4 piece of lumber, and a few inexpensive irons. Bead can be set with any number of small pumps.

Agree with Kestrel. Why pay someone to do something so simple? Last time I checked, CG was $40 per wheel to mount and balance unless you bought it from them.

I used to have equipment for tire changes but just moved to a new place and don't have an air compressor to run my machine. As of now I took my last set of tires to "The Motorcycle Shop" in Santa Rosa. Good guys at the shop and only $40 for a front and rear tire change and balance. Maybe this summer I could help out or in the future.

I can do it and I'm in Santa Rosa. Wheels off bike will be 1 bottle of Cabernet.
PM for vintage and contact information.🍷

I've partaken of this offer. Best deal in motorcycle history.

I heard Unobtanium only drinks 2 buck chuck, might be a good deal.

Cross Town Cycles in Napa, Carlo is great and will do it for 20 each.

Thanks everyone for the responses! Terry (unobtanium) was extremely helpful. He has pretty good taste in wine, too.

A well thought out set of 2x4's, a truck bumper, and some spoons are all you need.
