Chp Towed My Bike Got Question ?

HRCrider said:
I am pretty sure your bike is going to sit there for 30 days. Happened to a guy I know here at work. But why the fuck you stunting on the bay bridge for? Let me guess you had on baggy jeans, white tenis shoes, and one of those straight jacket style type vest That A Boy!:applause

More then likely if you were stop'd without a license, reg or INS. This wouldnt be the case, simply get insurance and have an M1 licensed driver go with you.

however if you were indeed hoisting one up, on top of no license, ins, reg... Your screwed. It'll be there for 30 days.

No insurance is a big heavy ticket. I just went to traffic court cuz the cop couldn't read my insurance docs and I had to show it to the judge to avoid paying the hefty fine.

i'm not goin to read the rest of the posts, cuz most are garbage....But the answer is yes, you can have a friend with a valid M1 ride it off the tow yard. Happened to me, no M1, no insurance, got my salesperson at Fairfield cycle to ride it out the tow yard for me back in 2001.

So Yes, the answer is Yes.

everytime i went to court for tickets and all...depending on the judge, if you have insurance *as in, buy it right now* and when you show to court and give her the papers, the judge might drop that charge against you....but you still gotta pay the other fines

WHY ARE YOU ASKING THIS FORUM? YOU SHOULD ASK YOUR MOMMY OR DADDY. IN FACT, YOUR MOMMY OR DADDY SHOULD'VE NOT RAISED SUCH AN IDIOT. THEY SHOULD GO PICK UP YOUR BIKE AND GROUND YOU FOR A LONG TIME. ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS SHOULD'VE BEEN GONE OVER WITH YOUR MOMMY OR DADDY, THAT WAY YOU MIGHT ACTUALLY START ACTING LIKE A GOOD CITIZEN...INSTEAD OF AN ASS TOOL.:shame

NO !! You have to show proof that you had insurance the day you got pulled over or you'll be in a world of hurt with the fine for no insurance.

You cant have no coverage, get pulled over, ticketed, go buy insurance and then show up in court showing that you now have insurance. It doesnt work that way.

So, OP, do you have insurance ?? :confused

Dammm, he puts the ID in SQUID!!!!

Your making us stunters look bad, by not clutching up a wheelie with your feet over the headlights....

Bullshit. This depends on what exactly he was cited for. IF he was cited for anything related to street racing, or reckless driving, the bike is gone for 30 days, period.

Bingo.

I think that this original post was to stir the pot, and somehow, I think it worked.

Mods: May I suggest we close this thread? Nothing good will come from it.

It depends on the leniency of the judge. I've been to traffic court where somebody that was cited for no-insurance admit they had a lapse in coverage but, "took care of it right away." The judge dropped no-insurance fine and just stuck them with the speeding violation which was the reason they were primarily pulled over for.

I've been also been caught w/o insurance coverage doin' 90 on Skyline, but the Moto LEO was kind enough not to write me up for it. That's another story however. Hope that good karma has caught up with him!
