Clash of Clans

I play on a Galaxy S Tab 8" and an old Ipad2. Sometimes on my Phone, Galaxy S4.

So, now I'm lvl 97 with a TH9. I have two xbows with one of them getting upgraded to lvl 2 right now. My AQ is going to be lvl 6 in about 90 minutes. I have finally reached a point in the game where I am having trouble keeping up with my builders because stuff costs so much.

I'm hanging out in Crystal III and just barching it. That is allowing me to totally rack up the DE fairly quickly.

We just made it to Level 4 clan yesterday.

Just about the most exciting finish we have had this year.

Two guys attack at the very last second and both get 3 stars, we win by 1.

Nice, Steeler.

I'm still hanging out in my farming clan. We are constantly at war, but we do it a bit differently. Essentially, we convince our opponents to leave their TH and loot in the open on their top two bases. In return we all have ours out and they can win the war easily. Between the loot at the time of attack and the ~1/3 of the war bonus, we do very well. We save tons of resources, as we don't stock war CCs and we generally only have to attack with BK/AQ and maybe some archers.

How do you go about convincing them? Do you have someone join their clan and talk to them that way? How does this work if their clan is closed?

My farming clan is debating about whether or not to start warring. We have gone to war once, and we ended up losing about 5 good people who totally rage quit after the drama that came during and after the war.

Are the perks really that good?

We invite one of their leaders into our clan to talk. We explain our approach and since they are in our clan, they can look at our war record and see that we haven't won a war in months. Most clans agree to it. Some do not.

We attempted to do that a couple of times and just didn't work out. We like the excitement of winning the war. Resources come and go regardless. I'm at the point where I am throwing away Elixir by doing looting with Pekka's.

Actually, I hate losing wars more than I like winning them.

Once I tire of the easy loot, I'll probably join a proper war clan again. I'm maxxed at TH 9, but plan to max my walls out before moving to TH10.

So, we are doing our 2nd farming war this week. The first one didn't go so well. We started the search early in the morning and basically guaranteed that we were going to get an Asian opponent who didn't speak English. The second one is ongoing. We just updated our clan description inviting one of their Co's over to talk. He was concerned that we were going to change our war bases last second. But, looking at our 0% war win record convinced him. They moved the TH's of their top two bases outside their walls.

Success at gaming the game! :thumbup

Oh, as for my base, I just moved up to lvl 100. (Yippie.) My AQ is upgrading to lvl 10, and one of my xbows is upgrading to lvl3. (Dang, 14 days is like forever to wait for that bastard to finish.) I also made a push and got my Masters gem bonus before going back down to farm in Gold II.

This last upgrade appears to somehow change the matching. There is now a shit load to loot to be farmed in the lower levels now. When I first moved to TH9, I had a problem finding any loot to steal. It's almost easy pickings now.

The DE is still very easy and plentiful to steal now. I had more than the 50K DE ready for the LVL10 upgrade before my AQ was even done upgrading to lvl9. :thumbup

That is pretty funny. I would be super hesitant as well.

We are almost half-way in XP points to being a Level 5 clan. It's been a grind for sure.

I am on the last legs of TH8 life. Working on the walls, 500k a piece. I know that's nothing for level 9 and above but it such a grind. I started a second account just to keep me playing during this period.

I am going to rush to th10 just for the offensive weapons. We don't have enough west coast players above my level so I need people to fill my requests. I am not spending a dime on defenses. Offense and town hall only. Already up to TH4.

You might change your mind about rushing to TH10 after you get to TH9 and realize how much harder it is to get loot as a TH9 compared to a TH8. You only get 50% of the loot that you do as a TH8. And, a TH10 only gets 50% of a TH9 loot. So, you get all kinds of new offensive weapons, but it gets to the point where you can only attack other TH10 bases to get any reasonable amount of loot.

Now that I'm a TH9, I am in absolutely no hurry to get to TH10. As cool as it sounds to have max troops, getting your available loot cut in half sounds even worse.

So, we are on to our third farming war. We were able to talk to the leader of our opposing clan about us just wanting loot and the loser's 30% bonus from the top two bases. He said he would go back to his clan and discuss it.

This is what their #1 base looks like now. I guess we got our answer. :thumbup

that is freaking hilarious!

our team likes to war, but we don't make it a requirement. We usually win 75% of the time. And we usually only have 2-3 people fill all the war CC. And those are the ones who don't care much about the costs.

Just started on to the 5th perk, then we'll slow down our warring frequency to once a week most likely.

we don't use any tools. It's not THAT serious :)
Plus we all know each other personally, so we can resort to texting/group chats.
