I've been trying to find something out there. I've got a longer torso, so I'm not looking for them to be lower as much as I want them more forward. Most aftermarket clipons mount the bar in front of the fork tube, the OEM's would intersect about 2/3 of the way through. What I've been trying to find is a bar with some rise to it (maybe a bit lower than OEM), but with the bar in front of the fork tube... any ideas anyone? I thought Pro-Tek made something like this, but haven't been able to find them again! :(
I've heard from some the Scott's triple-clamp lowers the OEM height by about 11mm... is there a clearance issue with the ram-air covers?

About the only real solution for more race ready position on the F4i is either Superblackbird clipons or CBR900RR clipons with an adapter ring machined to make them fit the smaller fork tubes. I used blackbird clipons on my old F4i race bike with much success. The bars were lower, but I don't neccessarily think farther forward.

Those are the opposite of what I want though. Helibars bring them higher and further back, making the reach shorter. I want same height or lower (not so low to have my hands hit the ram-air covers) and further forward...

GPgofast - I hear ya on the lower part, but I'm more concerned about moving them forward.
Has anyone tried a standard aftermarket clipon (woodcraft/graves/etc...) and slid a spacer underneath to get the desired height? I'm thinking that will be my next attempt.

My apologies, that is not my intent. I want people to ride. I joined the BARF brotherhood to expand my vast knowledge upon the world HAHAHA. I also joined to read & learn more for myself to improve myself. I just so happen to love where I work & I want people to know that they are welcome to call me anytime for information. My outlook is this, there is more than enough business out there to keep everyone happy, just ride.
 
Yo Chooki... Let me know what you're going to do... I too, am also considering replacing my clip-on's.
 
I also used Vortex on my F4i racebike for a while and thought they offered a worse riding position than the stock bars. Just my .02 cents. This is a track only bike by the way. GP

how was the position worse? I know that by lowering the bar height, there could be clearance issues with the ram-air covers, even if they are taken off. I'm looking for something further forward...
