And it is obvious that the 50’s kids were Super Badass. :teeth

Yes we were! I can remember making flint lock pistols with my friends. Mixing powdered aluminum with powder sourced from fireworks that made the culdesac we lived in look like noon at night. Making “forts” in the field across from us that swallowed a whole tractor. Laying out all of our straight train track in my back yard, finished with some curved sections because we ran out of straight sections, and putting a flat car, equipped with a JetEx rocket motor on the track and lighting it. Buildng rocket motors with old coffee cans. Etc. We had so much fun. And we still have our fingers.

Well, i did almost loose one of my fingers fooling with an explosive while I was in high school. After that I found wisdom and stopped doing such things. Fingers are a good thing.

:afm199 We used to build forts, we had scrap lumber, chunks of concrete, cardboard, mostly.
One team would build it as best they could, and climb in, ready to repair as needed.
The other team would use rocks and concrete chunks to bash the fort in, as big as we could lift !
This went on tossing chunks, until the fort, cried uncle.
Teams switched, again, from builders to destroyers, repeat all afternoon.
