I'm new to the state; therefore, no connections what so ever. :-(

I've heard from several people that if you apply for a license and get turned down, then you have a black mark on your record for any future application - is there any truth to this?
CoCo county a tough bet? I worry if I put down I work in education that would be a guaranteed no.
Pretty sure CoCo is a no go.
Unless you are "connected" - then its a breeze - and that absolutely sucks![]()

Illegal CC is a wobbler. The general rule-- as one lawyer confirmed to me-- is that if the gun is registered to the person carrying it, chances are it will be charged as a misdemeanor on first offense. Unregistered/stolen/etc., felony charge. If memory serves me correct carrying a loaded gun and having it concealed is a misdemeanor so in my mind just do it but don't get caught with a concealed knife cause that is a felony.
My quick research tonight has led me to the conclusion that the Sheriff of Sacramento County does not issues CCW's (a couple of dozen so far, but I am sure those were close friends, relatives, contributors, etc).
Ugh!

For like $5-10K you can join the good ole boy club aka TheCoCoSO Posse and you are a shoe-in for a CCW.:|

Its much faster and less expensive to be connected to and providing campaign funds to an elected official in LaMOrinda.![]()
At least you guys have options. I know the Sherriff of San Francisco himself and I ain't getting even a quick consideration for a permit.
Punch him in the taco. I've met Ross when he was on the Board of Stupidwisers. What an asshole.
I voted for Miyamoto.
