Contour roam 2 mounts

Well both of my 3m adhesive backing rubber mounts finally failed after like 5 years, fooqn amazon and eBay want $50 for 2x mounts - guess it is all old stock.

Any ideas how to mount it on da helmet by your cheeks? I'm afraid Velcro will fly off on hwy speeds.
 
I have a countour that didn't come with the mounts and I used the ION airpro mount. You screw it onto the tripod mount and snap it onto the ion arm. More adjustability. The Ion Air pro mounta with a heavy duty double sided tape and I have not have any problem of it going off tested up to 100MPH =P
 
Thanks for the suggestion guys I am prolly gonna upgrade to a sena 10c pro, and my countour roam2 is actually 7+ years old so I definitely got my $$$$ worth.
 
Nice suggestion, I'm surprised by the usbc, how much Amps can that connector do? I know they charge up laptops now
 
If you still have the mounts but the adhesive is gone/ crap.. you can get a roll of 3m double sided foam tape and re apply onto the mount and trim to size. I have done this many times when moving to different helmets. Very stable and no need to worry about it flying off.
 
Looks like Contour went out of business, again. I tried to find a new copy of "Contour Storyteller" their OEM application. But all the links are kaput, and there are not any alternative links to get firmware or any other software.
Second time this has happened. I read that Contour and Ion merged, but Ion has no information on it their website.

There is a link here to a page with a DropBox link for StoryTeller and other Roam software, please run AV scan before launching, though, I don't know this guy, or vouche for the legitimacy of these executable files. BuyerBeware, of course!

I downloaded from their site just a few weeks ago. I can't test the links now because our IT group blocks that kind of stuff. I don't use it anyway, was just hoping it would install a codec on another PC to use.

The 3M tape used on the mounts is available to purchase - WAY cheaper than the new/old stock mounts. Easy to trim to size and you’re back in business.
 
It's the rubber deteroriating both times, the adhesive is still stuck to the helmet
 
I think I have some of these. Does Contour 1 differ from 2?

Not sure which one I have..
