Hey all, anyone know of a reasonably priced app that will convert .doc files to .pdf? I looked at Acrobat Standard but $130 is a bit more than my current (unemployed) budget can take.

Last thing I downloaded tried to cram my computer full of spyware so trial and error isn't the way to go.. :mad

Thanks!

What are you trying to convert? If it's just a one time thing, I can help you out, just email me the thing you want converted.

Otherwise, there should be a few free pdf printers out there.

But if you want to keep it simple, Acrobat pro enables you to have a pdf printer and I believe it even allows you to save a document as a pdf. I know I have that feature and not everyone with office does.

Word2007 will export directly to PDF.

I just use file-print-saveas pdf. Instead of sending to the printer, creates a pdf. From any app BTW.

I've been using primo pdf for about 6 years now. Works great too..

except OP's app: word 2000

nice that we can save as pdf now though from most apps :thumbup

OpenOffice and Google Docs are both excellent and free solutions to this problem.
