Anyone know of a product that can convert RCA to HDMI?

rca as in component, composite or ?

So, you are trying to convert a 480i signal with no sound to a 1080i signal with digital audio?

as you aren't going to upconvert the signal, I don't see how a hdmi input is going to have any idea what type signal it is getting...

try www.avsforum.com

I assume by RCA you mean composite video.

I could not locate simple adapter cable. However, I did find a $300 converter that will handle S-Video or composite as well as the audio lines (which HDMI also carries along with the picture).

You might be able to find something cheaper if you shop around. But the quality might be terrible, too.

Composite would be ideal, but I component would be acceptable as well.

The purpose isn't in hopes that I can make video quality any better, just to try and use common inputs through an HDMI switchbox

Its for the Wii.

You might be able to find a component to HDMI adapter for way less money....

get a recievcer that upconverts.

Aren't RCA cables analog? I'm pretty sure you won't find an adapter cable since you can't input an analog signal into a digital port.

Composite is analog, but digital when boiled down is also analog. 0-2.3v analog is a logical 0, 2.4-5v analog is logical 1. (for example) And they can be converted from D>A A>D.
