coolant change questions

The "cheap stuff"'s solution for that is to use silicates, which is basically really fine sand, held in suspension, that would "sandblast" the corrosion away.

What you want is coolant that is based on "Organic Acids", and marked as "silicates free".

It works quite well, and for a streetbike, I don't think you can buy a better coolant.

Unfortunately, it's not track legal at any organization here on the west coast (to my knowledge).

I've always used 70% water/30% coolant and a few caps of WaterWetter.

Engine Ice just another (expen$ive!) premixed propylene glycol based coolant. I wouldn't use it, because it doesn't cool as well as ethylene glycol mixtures, and I can buy $0.50/gal distilled water to mix coolant myself, thank you very much.
