I found myself needed a pair of gloves liner and called Moorpark Cyclegear if they have a pair of freeze-out gloves liner. The guy on the phone told me they had the last XL pair and he would keep them in the back for me. I came and paid for them without checking the gloves cause I shop at cyclegear all the time and I believed in their service. Came back home, opened the bag and I saw 2 big holes on both of them. I think there was some guy with the Hulk hands bought them and broke them then returned the gloves. I dont mind if I got some stuff which were returned but at least they must be in great condition. I will go back there tomorrow and tell cyclegear to be more careful with return stuff, check them before restock so the other people dont get messed up items. Should ve come to road rider, I will be riding tomorrow morning.

Eh, honest mistake. But FWIW, I've seen tons of those gloves torn at the seams.

BILT. They are supposed to be like that. The holes are for savings.

should have gone with sediichi if you wanted to make the holes AFTER you bought them. :laughing :twofinger I kiid I kiiid.

Ikr, I have never bought anything from bilt but freeze-out liners. In fact, I have their pants liner and they work real good.

I am sure they are fine. I was just jabbing at cycle gear and half joking. I want them to stop filling their store with in house brands and go back to having a few options available. The one near me has less and less other brands in it every time I go in. That is a different thread topic though.

Sorry for the threadjack.

I think RR's return policy is a bit harsh :dunno

But I guess that's better for the next customer who purchases those returns, probably.

Wear 'em for your ride, stop by a store and exchange 'em along the way.

Cycle Gear is the ONLY big moto retail chain, that happens in all retail chains that aren't managed by the owners. Damn corporations.

This is why I don't shop at cycle gear. Same thing happened to me.
Restocking perfectly good things is acceptable... restocking busted tore up shit is not.

As a former manager of that particular store, I can tell you that it is NOT CG policy to resell damaged goods. The damage could have been from the manufacturer, from someone trying them on in the store and damaging them, or an honest mistake that if someone returned them claiming that they were in perfect condition they got resold.

CG has long struggled with the image of some heartless corp. but it is really run with the "heart" of any mom and pop shop.

Oh, just get your sewing machine out and fix 'em. :x

... and hope they don't sell you more busted shit?

I have better things to do than going over my newly purchased gear looking for "honest mistakes".

But there's always a new crop of n00bs to exploit. :thumbup

I came back there today. First of all the guy blamed that these gloves are so "sensitive" so i should ve been careful wearing them....(It was originally $30+ and I have to be careful wearing these "sensitive" gloives?? ). I told him they were like that when I first opened the bag and we ended up odering another brand pair cause they have no more in the back and I really need 1 pair due to commuting every morning early.

I've yet to get anything "busted" from them :rolleyes

And yet...we have this thread.

Should have had them order them and then do the exchange when the new ones come in

I have bought a bluetooth from the Fairfield store that had missing parts, that had ink marks put on the unit as if damaged and I was question why they were there. It did not work. I bought other items that also had missing parts.
