CZ 9mm vs Beretta

Che Zed. Commie era ones are cooler but the new ones get the job done. The dark polymer coating they put on isn't as nice as a high polish blue. They are plenty accurate but come with shitty sights like every gun out there.

Fuck Beretta.

i've had a cz 75b fr about 8 years now. Absolutly love it. Shoots great abd reliable as all hell.

I love my CZ SP-01, but haven't owned the Beretta so can't speak to those.

I own a Browning HP 9mm... I am happy with it and find it to be a nice gun.

Czechs are master gunmakers. Why do you think Germany wanted their country?

Win: CZ

Shot a co-worker's CZ P01: nice enough. Shot a competitor's CZ-75 TS: "Holy shit, what did you do to get the trigger this good?" "Nothing, stock." Seriously as good or better than $300-400 1911 trigger jobs.

That's a pretty bold claim. Now I'm itching to try the CZ-75 TS for sure. :cool

Well I have shot two different CZ-75 TS, only one's trigger astounded me. The other was good. The TS is a big gun and the reach to the trigger is too long. It's not the perfect fit that the CZ-75/85/P01 is.

I currently shoot a modified cz sp01 in limited minor, after having done work on both types of gun i would take a cz over a Beretta every time. Even after working on the Beretta trigger it was still long and clunky. the cz on the other hand can be made shorter and smooth with almost zero reset travel.

CZ is the way to go.

What say you all regarding fit, finish, reliability and accuracy? Always wanted a Beretta just because but am really intrigued by the CZ's.

I own both a Beretta 92F and a CZ sp-01 tactical. (both decockers)

If I could only have one, I would choose the CZ. Stock for stock I would choose the cz trigger and after I had some work, the CZ now is phenomenal.

The sights are also easier to change on a CZ vs a 92F/FS unless you get a brigadier model.

If you ever make it out to USI in concord let me know and I'll let you try out both.

CZ appears rougher in finish and perhaps that's accurate, BUT, hands down it's better than a Beretta in all quantifiable measurements - besides finish.

They work when you pull the trigger, they're simple and easy to live with.

Beretta... not so much.

FWIW, the Italian 92's split the rails too. Ask the Navy about that during the trials in the mid 80's.

Old Sigs are better than the new ones BTW. They aren't up to their reputation anymore.

Never shot a CZ75. Shot the M9 Beretta enough to hold a fairly strong dislike for it. It's heavy, the trigger sucks, it's bulky, and the ergonomics just don't agree with me.

Ant - another alternative to consider would be a Sig P226. Much better than the Beretta but I don't know how it compares to the CZ. CZ's probably a little better still.
