It certainly would have been more interesting without the Honda penalty, but no guarantee of Barreda having a win this year. Southerland had nobody close to push him, so he was able to play it safe and coast in the end, and there's not telling if Barreda can beat Price.
We shall see next year.
I foresee another year of Peugot dominance in the cars next year, Toyota still can't seem to get it together, and they still have problems at altitude. Considering how punishing the altitude is, I'm surprised more racers don't try to come over early and get some acclimatization in. They can't just do it with a few sleep overs, but they could come over and train for a couple of weeks -- seems like it would give them a distinct advantage. But, I have to assume not -- or they would be doing it already.
Loeb will be very dangerous next year. He was quite close this year and has only been learning and getting better. Sparks will fly next year for sure.
