A few Bay area ADV riders are planning on riding to:
Western Adventure Rider Party and Endurance Drinking Event (WARPED VIII), April 13 through 15 in Sequoia NF and Lake Isabella: with Saturday April 14 run through Death Valley:
430 mi. R/T (9.5 hrs.) Death Valley Refuel/Water break at Panamint Springs and Stovepipe Wells Village . Proposed Route: http://g.co/maps/vmdht Contingency stop: Beatty.
Route is good for ADV bikes: Hard slab and n00b skill level off pavement. Ride Sunrise to Sunset, back for SAT dinner.
or
A shorter 284 mile R/T ride (5.25 hrs): Kernville (WARPED VIII) to Olancha Dunes (See KTM Trail ride ) and Owens Dry Lake to Paramint Springs for Refuel (Too bad we can't sample the brew and ride back). Route: http://g.co/maps/gxun9
