Defense attorney in Salinas / Monterey County recommendation please

I'm curious about the security tape retention. If she chooses to go that route. Would it have been beneficial to have a lawyer request them earlier before the retention expires.
 
I get some weird pleasure out of strangers who are bad guys getting their due.

I think we all do. The rub is defining who a "bad guy" is. Perspective is a bitch.

Full disclosure, self checkout is the only system devised that makes me want to steal and I feel justified for feeling that way. I don't do it, but I want to. Every time. I feel that way because to my eyes, "self checkout" is burdensome money grab by greedy people who run corporations. I think next project the the greedy people will push is for shoppers to unload the trucks on their way to self checkout. The greedy people will then price our products according to how fast we can unload the truck and be out of the store. The faster you shop, the cheaper it will be. More throughput. More profit. It must be done. Why not? anything goes right? Enjoy your greedy toll booth society.

They will raise the prices to where we can't afford them first, then offer the truck unloading to bring the price back to where they were before.

So why the attorney? Tell her to ask for a Pubic Defender if this is going to be that severe. Sounds like therapy may be a better investment unless she has a bunch of priors.

I prefer self checkout. The line, if there is one, is much quicker. It's really fairly simple. I bring my own bags. I pay with my phone. With a side bonus of not having to talk to people. :laughing

What's not to like, other than maybe displacing some low paying jobs?

I don’t want to do it. I bring my own bags and enjoy bagging my own groceries and having a human interaction with the person ringing them up. I even return my shopping carts. Im a team player like that. I don’t like being cajoled into doing free labor for big business. The checkout lines are longer because there are less checkers because they were “riff’d” when self checkout was forced on everyone. I really hate it. It makes me want to shoplift.

Return your shopping cart? If everyone did that employees (whose job that is) would lose their jobs... All Retail is franticly trying to cut labor costs.

I like chatting with people... seeing a smile.. a simple have a good day. I will wave off the robot helper and stand in line a bit longer to avoid the bot.
 
Unless I have more than a handbasket worth of stuff, I'm using the self-checkout. It's faster and I don't have to make annoying small talk with anyone.
