Dirt bikers attack scooter rider in Mission

I am against the death penalty, but these dudes are not fit to participate in my society.
I dunno the solution. Pay more taxes so LEO has the resources to curb it?
Nah. That would be too high a price. Generally the public just whinges.

Vigilantism? That is like murder. Folks are oftentimes pretty stupid until they are at least like, 30 years old. Then even.
 
Properly clad dirt bikers with proper Road Rash style tools would be pretty rad.

Old news. Remember few years ago when a biker gaggle swarmed a Land Rover in New York. They even smashed on of his windows.

Guy just drove through them, paralyzed one as I recall.

On the bridge; said all types; but I meant, dirt bikes, rockets, quads, and saw scooters . Can’t say saw any Harleys twins.
The biggest common denominator was no helmets.
 
I would never encourage them in any way. That shit needs to be taken off the public streets.

And if I was heading to the hospital or doing any kind of emergency driving, and they were blocking me, I wouldn’t hesitate to drive over them. Fuck them.
 
If they want to show off, they can find a parking lot somewhere where they aren’t fucking with anyone’s day.
 
It's a bogus formula. They go out in a group and ride wherever they want, always in town because other people looking at them is part of their entertainment formula (which is level ten squid), and then everyone else is operating on a different set of traffic rules, which sometimes cause a minor collision, and then the group beats that person up. That is a super repetitive pattern we've seen with these groups. The words "fuck those guys" is not nearly a powerful enough of a statement.

It's not a culture, it's not a way of life, and it's not a hobby. It's the void that exists in place of those things. Just endlessly riding wheelies in public places because the average person doesn't know enough to say, " ok neat, so what else can you do", is the lamest segment of "motorcycling" that could possibly exist. They are the National Enquirer of motorcycling. Toxicity masking itself as journalism, is what these guys are to riding. Fake, poisonous, and yet somehow not without their talents and a certain segment that buy into it.

Two on one attack is considered overwhelming force. Legally, you could use a firearm in self defense, even in Kalifornia. However, being San Francisco, you would probably be charged, even though you'd likely win in court.

Yeah, we blew it. I hadn’t heard about the violence yet. I still thought it was old people and non-riders complaining. Maybe Ill
get another chance.

I fully recognize I’m probably being naive about their other criminal and violent pursuits. Conversations like this, in which people dream of decapitating these guys and laying out marbles and what not, are even more ridiculous and out of control in non-rider groups.
 
One of the biggest consequences I see coming is politicians going after legal dirtbiking more, as well as OHV funds being used for enforcement and education of these people is not where I would like my OHV sticker money to go to.
 
It’d be a hard to make a case that this is legal dirtbiking. As has been said, where’s the dirt? Assault and reckless endangerment are serious issues. As it is on city streets, mass enforcement of existing helmet law would be a start. Why should they be exempt, oops is a balaclava considered a turban? Eventually there will be a sting, they can’t stay evasive forever. Flattened tires happen though hopefully while parked as spike strips would be way dangerous.
 
A pair of nippers on their valve stems would be cheaper than a bunch of locks. Snip, snip and walk away.

Not just those guys, but the delivery riders too. Lately I’ve been wondering whether CA still has a helmet law.

Re: the “dirt” bikers, yesterday 150 of them wheelie’d past my apartment on their way to the Castro. What they planned to do there, I have no idea.

so, Sharky (small business council chair or something) claims the Police has specific orders not to pursue the riders. (These ones.) And yes, logically, it's dangerous since they might end up riding on the sidewalk to get away...

They have very specific orders to not pursue them. High speed chases are dangerous for the public.
