Consider the maintenance work or fixes that YOU need to do to the bike, and factor that into the price. It is ok to pay more for a bike that has had all of the maintenance work done to it recently, or pay less and get a bike that needs some work, but you must know this in advance and be ok with it.
    • Inspecting the bike: if you are not experienced yourself, have a mechanic or an experienced friend check the bike before making a purchase. Crashed bikes:This is even more important if you are buying a bike that is being sold at a cheaper price with damages that the buyer is required to fix. In these cases, doing a frame check that will show any frame/fork/geometry damages is HIGHLY recommended. Do NOT simply rely on the information that the seller is providing, even he/she may not be aware of all the problems. Have the crashed bike checked and know what you are getting into.
    • Clean title, Salvage title A clean title doesn't mean the bike is free of serious issues. A Salvaged title doesn't mean the bike may have any problems. Every case is different. Some bikes are seriously damaged in a crash, but an insurance claim is never made on them, so they still have a clean title. Some bikes have had mostly cosmetic damages in a crash, but the insurance company decided to pay off the bike and salvage the title rather than spending the money to fix it. Know what you are getting into and don't make any assumptions based on what the seller is telling you.
    • Registration: Know about the current registration status of the bike. Check with DMV if you have any questions about any possible back fees and other title/registration questions (out of state title, no title with bill of sales only, etc.) before purchasing the bike.

    • Comments within a sale thread should be on topic and educational. Aggressive critiques and inside jokes will not be tolerated. Don't fuck it up, because the next step is disabling the "reply" feature entirely.
    • If you disagree with a price, keep it to yourself. The seller has set the price. If you don't like it, don't buy it and move on. If you really feel strongly about it, then PM the seller.

This is a fresh rebuild from a damaged DJI Phantom 3 Professional version 1, 4K Camera, and Remote.

Took it apart, cleaned everything, replaced and fixed the issues from the crash and made them better, and rebuilt it.

Now it flys great and everything works.

I also added a GPS Shield mod and left the stock stickers off for new owner to choose what they want on this bad boy.

Camera was also damaged which was also rebuilt and works great with new flex ribbon. Has latest firmware and it is RTF

Golden Gate Park is an escape from the tiresome city. Please try to keep your drones out of their. They are loud and annoying.

I remember being up on the west slope of Mount Tam on a beautiful sunny day when all of a sudden someone decides it would be fun to fly their buzzzzzzy toy into our vicinity. It was about 100-200 meters away and still very loud and annoying.

With that said, I do want a fancy drone myself for project with my class and other things. You just won't catch me disrupting public space with it.

Unfortunately as long as they are legal to fly the best you can do is to kindly ask to fly some place else or how long they will fly.

I also suspect that annoyed onlookers may begin hucking objects at your $1k toy. I've been tempted to do the same but I always put myself in the shoes of the other guy. They should also do the same for the rest of us.

Actually appropriate or not they can fly in the areas you noted that is unless they are on NPS grounds.

Not sure if you were familiar with all the drone rules but anyone who willfully destroys or disables a "registered" drone will be charged with felonious act.

Can we charge DJI with a felony for their goddamn constant mandatory updates? It disables our Inspire everytime. Two weeks our plane has been grounded because the update has turned it into an expensive brick.

I hear the Phantoms work pretty well. The Inspire has made me completely give up on drones. I was our company's drone program. It died. I honestly don't even care if this ever gets fixed, I'll never use it again. It's going to sit in a closet and collect dust.

Dead serious. I can't sell it, it belongs to my company. It sucks really, because I am the only one that will fly it. And I'm done. So it truly will just sit there and gather dust. Like our expensive Nikon digital camera, and lots and lots of other equipment we have grown out of that we don't have any way of getting rid of.

I doubt there is a way to pay you. I think I can get it to work. My problem is that we don't use it consistently. And nearly every time I get ready to use it, I can't because of this exact problem. I'm the only one left who even tries. And I have pretty much stopped trying.
