Dodge Chief Donut Maker- anyone got a Hellcat for loan?

Rent Hellcat .... go to Crispy Creme drive thru and smoke em at the pick up window until you can hardly see and a pink box emerges from the window. Take box.

Guess that would not qualify.

Worth a chuckle though.

Doesn’t interstate traffic flow at near 100 nowadays. Ain’t no biggie anymore when soccer moms are doing it right alongside.

lol - never been even remotely tempted to buy a dodge, but i do love the name ‘hellcat’. all my hellcats have been the four legged version. and they only power slide across the hardwood floors - although also often wrecking in the process :laughing

on a semi-serious note - fucking marketing. fuck that shit.

I own my first one now and I can say that I have never loved a car more. I do not usually get attached and sentimental about cars and trucks like I do bikes, which are more personal by their very nature, but since I bought my Challenger I actually ride my bike less, which a car has never done before.

On 280 between maybe as far South as Cupertino and as far North as Daly City? The pace is usually 85, sometimes maybe 90 if it’s really open. And maybe I-5 going through the middle of the state it can stay at 85 most of the time. But for the most part, 85 seems to be “fast” traffic flow around here. Maybe if this Texas or Montana, you can get away with just locking the cruise on 100. Doing 100 around here sticks out like a sore thumb.

yeah - have a good friend (moto LEO) who has a ram 4x4 p/u and a challenger. both black. he loves his challenger too. he’s a big dude, and looks pretty awesome in a big black dodge. the thing is a little (lot) on the large size for me though. peeps up in the foothills seem to be super into them - and put them through their paces. am usually driving at an aggressive speed, and ALWAYS give way when i see anyone coming up fast behind me. more often than not it’s 1 of 2 vehicles - either a big lifted bro dozer or a challenger lol.

I’d be a happy camper with a Hemi powered Grand Cherokee.
Could live without the Hellcat/Trackhawk version though.

I love doing useless, pointless, daddy's paying for my tires burn outs and donuts.

Donuts just right with the right vehicle and you can get that sucker spinning like a top.

My favorite burn out was probably close to 20 years ago on my CBR F4i, from a big nasty stationary burn out into a long long long rolling burn out for heavens knows how many hundreds of yards. Those were the days. My nephew was 20 years old and with an extremely lucrative career when I helped him buy a beautiful new Challenger Scat Pack. He knows it but I do the most wicked "nephew's money" 11s at work with it. We've got a private wide smooooooth paved roadway that measures about 1/2 mile long, from the corner of the fence to the 5th light pole is exactly 1250ft. Launch control activated.

When I hear “Dodge” and “viral video” together, I’m expecting to see some dumbshit in a Hellcat getting into a wreck attempting to power slide out of a cars and coffee.

are mustangs no longer the owners of the cars n' coffee "most likely to wreck leaving cars n coffee" distinction?

Yeah, I think that is a big part of it for me, it is a really big car, I actually fit in it, unlike a lot of the other cars I have had in my life.

I think they might be. As much as Dodge likes to talk shit, the stock Mustang GT 5.0 has like 100 more Horses and weighs 1,000 lbs less than the stock Challenger RT 5.7, so there is no race happening there. The Mustang is an actual sports car, the Challenger is more of a Power Cruiser, big heavy boat with a ton of torque, so you reckon the Mustang is probably still the guy more likely to break the tires loose and slide flip over the median curb on the way out of the coffee shop, lol.

Nah they still are. There’s just more of them. Simple numbers game.

But is ANYONE buying the Camaro?

:(

Not really. Rumors swirled that 2021 would be the last year, but it looks like it still lives on.

A SS 1LE is a damn fine value for a weekend warrior track car/daily driver do it all just one car scenario.

As a Mustang GT (Performance Package, Premium) Owner, those replies made me smile. :thumbup

Rob is right on. There are TON of Mustangs near me. I was waiting for some work to be done to my car at a shop in Redwood City, and I swear, every 10th car was a Mustang. I think that they are the favorite car of the Mexican Community!! :laughing

BTW- I drive mine like an old lady. I am sick of paying for tickets (from the motorcycle). Only once in a while do I rip in it.

so dude - you don’t happen to have a personalized plate that contains the word ‘filthy’, do you? saw a black challenger on 80 with exactly that and thought it was either you or your brother from another mother. :laughing

Don't get me wrong but, now in my dodderage, I prefer stealth mode when I get up in the illegal performance arena.

I don't want people looking at me, applauding me, buying a product because I influenced them. For me there is great joy in smooth, fast and unnoticed.

I will, however, stand to the side and cheer on the destruction of tires and lubricants, body panels and preferential insurance rates while being entertained.

Would cheer even louder if you get paid by a manufacturer to do so.
