Douchebag at trackday

It’s not too late to tell the provider what happened and to make suggestions for how to prevent this from happening again.
What impact do you think that will have on how the "offending" rider rides at trackdays and how the TDP does business? Do you think the TDP can/will contact said rider based on a leathers and bike description? For an unfounded he-said-she-said incident? Do you think that random ppl on the internet have suggestions that a long-standing TDP hasn't already heard, rejected, or implemented?

It hard to say what would happen. But nothing will happen if people remain silent.

I don't think the corner matters here. OP implied the pass wasn't 6ft and that the rule is 6ft. Also, many passes that cause the passee to go off-track are against everyone's passing rules. Usually the most important rule is that passes must be accomplished safely and that it's primarily the passer's responsibility.
I wasn't responding to the issue of the 6 foot cushion. My comment was regarding the safety of doing an inside pass upon exit vs. outside passing regardless of the turn.
And I agree, it is for sure the responsibility of the passer to do it in the proper way (6ft cushion if that's the rule) and for the comfort of the passee.
The 2nd response was just pointing out about turn 8 being a no pass zone might differ between organizations.

My suggestion: Don't get on track until the session before lunch. Run that and ALL of the afternoon sessions. Most of the idiots have wadded things up by lunch. Those have actually eat lunch get digestion coma and give up after the 1st or 2nd session in the afternoon. I show up at noon, ride 3-4 sessions and pack up. Traffic is light and the last session is almost empty. As far as "value" goes, it's actually higher value due to the higher quality track time while you're still fresh.

T8 is just stupid to pass in B group, much less a trackday for almost all trackday riders. Racers may try it, but the pass comes well before T8. Not at the apex and generally, the good ones wait for the rider in front to turn in and then turn in under them and pass them going up the hill to T9. I can't remember if I've ever stuffed a trackday rider into 8. Racers...yeah, lappers...and even then, it's kinda sketch. The pass is either in between 7 and 8 or after the exit of 8.

Your 660 guy is a bozo.

Only been to the track a few time and had only ridden C group. I do heard a lot of different story from B group riders haha. Glad your son is okay.

A few observations after a few hundred trackdays. Pass for the comfort of the other rider. Inside passes are fine if you pass before the other rider turns in. If you are getting passed on the inside, consider giving more room on the outside. Most will take the outside pass if it is there.

T8 passes create too much risk - many people miss-time them causing stolen apex’s and with the high speed a sudden reaction to someone taking your line can have you pointing off the track. If that happens, try to keep turning until you run out of pavement and keep your weight to the rear like a dirt biker.
Riding out off track T8 nearly parallel is far less likely to crash than if you go straight off. What people don’t know is in spring when cars go off, they leave ruts that dry out and can cause a MC to crash almost certainly.

One last thing- I have been told that certain T-day providers generally attract more mature riders than others. But there are always a few that cause problems - most often not intentionally.

I think the culvert I found off T8 is still there...about halfway up to T9. You can't see it till it arrives and the best you'll get out is "oh Fu.....". Then you get kicked off like a bullride.
