Dremel tools

I build model kits and a dremmel is an essential tool for the modern modeler.

That would be a perfect application :thumbup

I'm too industrial (could be called a sicko) I only do the nasty deeds, that demand More Power
like Toolman Tim harps about. :laughing

Great for hobbies and small projects. Wife bought an iPhone charger to put by the bed but it wouldn't take the phone with her case on it. The charge plug that came with the iPhone fits fine but this base stand has plastic off on either side of the metal "tongue" part you stick in the phone. I used the dremmel to carve 2 grooves for the case to rest in that allows the phone to push down all the way for charging. I could have done that by hand with a file but the dremmel took about 30 seconds each side.

I also use it all the time for hobby stuff like RC planes, robotics, etc...

nice thanx
Well so far I have mostly a door latch hole to grind through, and some other wood grinding/filing to do.

ive made brackets for my GoPros, a bracket for my Penske shock, a bracket to hold my laptimer, ..

Very nice.. you make brackets how , out of what pieces of plastic/Fiber or metal? You just carve out the pieces?

I have a corded AC model with flexible wand in garage permanently set up and use it for something nearly every week. Cutoff wheels, fiberglass cutoff wheels and sanding drums are my usual jams.

I also have an older battery powered one with variable speed that goes much slower that the 3000rpm minimum of the AC models that I use in the field, at race track, etc.

All of my Dremels get the keyless chuck upgrade immediately and I have various small drill bits in old end mill tubes that have saved my bacon more than I can recall. The keyless is also good for chucking up smaller shaft items and polishing in a heartbeat.

OMG Westie!!! Is that a Tamiya Lawson YZR500?

I often wonder what people did before dremels. So damn handy.

(The foredom looks nice, but damn that is some expensive hardware!)

Love my Dremel, use it at least a couple times a month. Then bought my wife one to do the dog's nails. Works a lot better than clipping.
