So, here's the skinny. I have a nanny coming to live with us, as as the roads be fairly twisty and probably more difficult than she's used to, sending her to some additional training seems ideal. This goes doubly so when we consider she's driving one of my cars, and I'm paying her insurance.

Anyone have any recommendations for a decent local driving school/moonlighting instructor?

And yes, she's hot, and no, I won't post her pics.

I will let you hit on her if you bring whiskey.

Cheyenne drives pretty competently on wet, twisting SC Mountain roads, and may be looking for work.

What kind of whiskey?

Honestly probably would be cheaper and more useful to rent a car and do it yourself since you are more familiar with the roads.

Just make sure she doesn't follow my approach to driving, just push on gass pedal until you see God. :laughing

Well, I'm not exactly an officially licensed/qualified instructor, but I know how to teach, manage, and drive...and I've driven everything from a honda civic to a rolls royce to a humvee to an M1 Abrams....

Jim Russel at Infineon has what you're after:

Highway Survival // $495-Half Day // $695-Full Day

Our Highway Survival courses, utilizing Mitsubishi Lancers and Outlanders, educates drivers of all ages about the realities of road driving, from statistics to techniques, we instill drivers with a system that works to make them significantly safer and more efficient on the road. As a result graduates will be confidently able to navigate any road situation while driving the car in a way that optimizes fuel economy and decreases wear and tear on all vehicles. As a bonus, the four-hour course can be applied to the 60 hour pre-license driving time requirement for minors.

Dedicated to safe, advanced driving techniques to students of all ages and abilities, our unique behind-the-wheel programs will teach you:

* A system of driving that anticipates how we and our vehicles respond in emergency situations
* Responsibilities/realities of the crash avoidance maneuver
* Strategies for avoiding dangerous situations in the first place
* Ample practice time in car to cement down the philosophy and techniques

Separate programs for teens and adults ensure the proper tone is set for each distinct group. Invest in what still is the single best safety feature of any vehicle... the driver.

Ohh, man. I want to take that with my daughter.

she's 12

My wife and daughter both took the Bob Bondurant version back in the day.

I took all the racing classes which were an absolute hoot and taught me that I'd never make it to the "big time" racing on 4 wheels.

Damned fun and informative; highly recommended.

Uhhhh...what?

trying to find the other post...but I saw one where you said something to ImUrDaddy about "if the chick in your avatar is gonna be there, I'll be there". :p Maybe it wasn't you I dunno just struck me as funny that I saw 2 hookup requests within like 5 minutes of checking BARF threads :laughing

Your getting a nanny! Hawtness! Though I'm not really a driving instructor, I just play one on tv, I am almost licensed in self sexual gratification...
