Ducati Multistrada 1260

Well thank goodness, THERE'S a bike that really needed more torque, HP and displacement. :laughing

I'd be way more impressed if they made it 50 lbs lighter instead.

While it might not be needed, it keeps it inline with the competition.

I've been riding a friend's KTM 1290 SA for the last week or so and it's clear to me I do not need 160BHP. I constantly ride too fast and the front wheel likes to come up too often. I'm just waiting for my next ticket.

What im most looking forward to is all the multi owners selling their 1200s and getting a 1260, so I could scoop a 1200 for a reasonable price.

I'm curious as to how the new Multi will compare to the 1290SDGT
Heavier, for one. It will probably not feel like instant excessive power everywhere either. The 1290 SuperDuke GT is an evil bike. At least it makes the rider do evil things. :laughing

I rode a KTM 1290 SD GT, sweet bike, in touring mode, of course. I haven't tested it in Sports or Evil mode yet and I don't want to. Not in the city. Track...suuuuuure!

+1

And 2" lower for us short legged riders. BMW does offer this option for the S1000XR

I'm tempted to sell my 2016 Multistrada 1200S and buy a Super Duke GT to match my Super Duke R. If anyone wants a 2016 Multistrada 1200S, I'll give them a good deal on mine... :teeth

Like less than the KBB trade-in value or what?

Enquiring minds want to know. :cool

Damn, and I just bought an enduro literally 2 weeks ago.

Feels like when you buy an iPhone a month before Apple announces a new one.

Naahh... what could this new bike possibly do that your current model can't? Other than cost more?

You've already got an engine that can provide more power and torque than the ECU will let you actually access in the first 3 or 4 gears.

@nascasho, Dude!! Just enjoy your Enduro. Stop thinking about the 1260. It's just Ducati one-uppin' KTM, for golly's sake!

Hell yeah, I'm enjoying the crap out of this thing!

Totally agree on the weight. 100 would be better. :teeth

I am working mine down. 16 so far. Another 20 on the horizon. That ain't 50, but the next 14 maybe be too expensive/ extreme to chase.
