Ducati Panigale 1199 FIVE recalls

If my front brakes failed and I crashed a already overpriced motorcycle I overly paid for, then I would either be dead or really pissed off.

Anything causing loss of control is a major issue.

those are pratically non-issues.

I'm waiting for rods or rod bolt failures.....they need to live up to BMW and aprilia standards.

Heresy I tell you!! I dared suggest skipping the first year of the new water-cooled GS while BMW works out issues over on ADVrider and was nearly run out of town by the BMW apologists that insisted BMW does not have first-year issues. :laughing

I dunno...recalls show a devotion to the organization looking to fix mistakes. If they fix known problems and return it better than before, I'd say that's excellent customer service.
(Note: I don't own a Ducati, but it seems like they fix their shit)

They'll also tell you the 1200GS rear drive is perfection in motion. Of course if you talk to an actual BMW mechanic you'll find they are sh*te, about about $2500 to repair when the snap-ring wears out.

Besides, Long Way Round was a good demonstration of how shoddy the GS line is. How many bikes did they REALLY go through making that movie? :twofinger

Pish. Aprilia loves a good recall too. Thing is they're worth the heartache.

I don't think any of that shit would make me pause for a second if I wanted one.

It would be nice if any of the recalls was for Ducati owners.

Which is cool as long as you only approach it from the back. To avoid ugliness induced nausea.

...and the S1000RR is still faster...

Where are you riding? And what are your qualifications?

When a bike comes with lights and licence plate...The public road levels the playing field...Then the choice of bike becomes one of what stirs the soul of the rider...

The fact that this thread exits as "news" confirms this.

:thumbup & :rofl Really...So glad to be a recluse, I definately don't fit in, to the current mindset, of the Motorcycle community. Although a Starbucks has come to Angles camp, so....
Maybe it's just a matter of time till incompetent, can't get your texting fingers dirty types, move in :laughing
