Sportbike Tire Services shipped my new slicks and they were received in less than 24 hours this week, excellent service! Had them mounted this morning and tried to ring STS for recommended tire pressures, but they are closed for the weekend. The last set were the first time I'd tried Dunlops and they worked well, but had some very low recommended pressures, something like 22 psi. Anybody know the exact front and rear pressures that Dunlop recommends? The compound is soft, they will run on a GSXR1k and my weight is @ 250 lbs if that makes any difference. I'm asking here because the trackday is on Monday and there will be no tire service people onsite that day. Thanks.

are they N-tecs or old tecs?

the old tecs are 31 front 29 rear.
the N-tecs are 31 front (cause the front is old tec) and rear is like 21-22 (hot).

I haven"t used the N-tec rear yet, your looking for an optimum hot temperature. hopefully someone here who has used them can chime in.

:cool

More like 19 cold if it is an Ntech. Should be close to 23 off the track hot.

23 hot is what STS told me for the Ntech. Gtech is 25 cold in the rear.

They also said to use 30 PSI cold in the front.

This was specifically for Buttonwillow, though.

Ducky,
why would you say that they are not n-tec's? I think that pretty much everything that they sell is n-tec now. I could be wrong, i thought Tigert said that they've been using the older stuff down at willow but i don't remember.

What i do is make sure that the tire warmers have been on for a good hour to hour and a half (if outside temp is fairly cold) then right as your putting your gloves on to go out check the pressures front and rear and set them to 23 hot in the rear and 33 hot in the front. I've been doing that ever since the n-tec's came out with great results.

try it out.

Chris
