Easter Sunday Mt Tam Sunrise Ride

Didn't start a fresh 2019 Easter Sunday Sunrise Ride Vintage Cafe thread this year ... someone in General usually starts one ... this year I guess my plan is to post pics of vintage bikes after the ride ... :toothless

and yes, BARF and the SFMC are not associated with the Easter Sunrise ride ... never have been able to figure out who to thank for getting the gate open these days ... will have to stick to thanking the Park Ranger ... :dunno

I'm out, racing SM at Sonoma on Saturday, and already have family Easter plans for Sunday. This ride has been great fun in past years when I've done it. Highly recommend checking it out!

What time is the donut meetup? I'm thinking about riding up and wouldn't mind a few more heads to roll from SF with.
 
I usually work backwards from sunrise time ...

googled Mt Tam sunrise time and got 6:27am ... so I have to get to Tam Junction by 5am and leave Tam Jnctn by 5:30am to see the sunrise from the top ...

have to leave SF at 4:30am to get to Tam Jnctn by 5am ...

so that puts me at Zeitgeist or Van Ness/Market at 4am ... :loco

They were talking about Zeitgeist at the SFMC last night, but I don’t recall that being a thing in recent years the way it used to be ... know I got a cup of coffee at Van Ness and Market last year at the 24 hour donut place ... :party

the weather looks like it will be good ... :ride

guess I’ll have to leave Berkeley at 3:30am ... think I was the first guy ay Van Ness/Market last year, and two wheel tramp and Kalle showed up and we had five of us on our way at 4:30am ... (edit: OK, 5:05 am ... had to wait for twt ... :toothless)

anyway, maybe now there’s a 7% chance I’ll be there for the
sunrise this year ... :rolleyes

should be a good turn-out at the top because we’ve had good weather for the past few years.

I'd do this with the mrs if I had a bike that was ok two up. She refuses to even look at the back seat on the Panigale. I don't know why. It's luxurious. All 3 square inches of it.

edit: tiger is in the shop getting a gremlin exorcised.
