Easter sunrise??? 4/20/2025

I had a great time, met (again) many of the SFMC, OMC, and BARFers who dragged themselves out of warm beds and got to the meetup spots (SFMC, gas station, Mt Tam parking lot), then socialized at the SFMC breakfast & blessing. You all rock!! šŸ„³

Sorry I missed this (again). I wanted to go but my other half was concerned about me leaving Tracy at 2:00am. We both agreed that staying overnight somewhere closer would have been best but the only friend who's house I could have stayed at is out of town. šŸ«¤

Next year for sure!
 
It was the perfect day! The fog made the view spectacular and warm, and it also made part of the ride laughably blind. My friend and I snuck around the other gate and did the coast race down the hill afterwards. We should work on getting that gate open along with the other gate for next year.

@Lucytriple, in the past Iā€™ve ridden up BoFax and bypassed the 2 gates. This time I was running low on confidence and decided riding on the freeway was the more manageable law to break.

it definitely took me to a few minutes to work out the courage for an up and over route. Iā€™m so glad I did. It was fucking gorgeous. next year we do it together.

I thoroughly enjoyed this event! got a chance to meet/see some rally regular barfers :twofinger
The views were spectacular and the ride was fun, especially on the way back..
I did crash out in the afternoon, as waking at 3am let me know..
 
It was a great morning, warm and beautiful. I'm glad I got to see a bunch of folks but bummed I missed others.
 
In the future, I'd like to believe that I'd still leave from home. It's all about the experience for me. The dark ride up, the meet at SFMC, then the group ride to the top were all things to add to my memory bank.

At some point my daughter will join me as a passenger. That may be the only time we begin the ride from a closer location.
 
our clubhouse has been open beginning on Saturday night until Easter Morning the last few years ... not super comfortable for sleeping, perhaps, but the price is right, and the location is convenient ... :laughing

we're also trying to get permission for our SFMC Westphalia coffee-vehicle to camp overnight up on Mt Tam on the Saturday immediately before Easter Sunday (April 5, 2026). hoping that any camping permission forthcoming will include "helpers." we'll see how that goes, I guess. :clown
 
If this is and invite to party and "sleep* at the clubhouse, I'm in.
