A different '511'.

Mora 511. 8 dollars, and once of the best knives I've ever owned. The Swedes really know how to get it done. You likely cannot do better for the price, and Mora knives continue to represent what has likely been the best bang for the buck of all time when it comes to knives.

I've been carrying this same knife for going on around 20 years now.

I buy el cheapo knives and throw them out when I'm done with 'em.

You can only cut so many electrical cords, carpet sections, drive so many screws or jimmy a few locks before you realize that it's not worth ruining nice knives over.

Zero Tolerance 0400. I've never been a fan of tan to blades, but this one was intriguing and has turned out to be a very useful shape. S30V steel.

Good to see some fixed blades here. I might have to pick up a couple more and put it into rotation.

If I was smart I'd grabbed the orange handled one....hard to find a black one when ya drop it in the woods...

EDIT: grabbed it primarily because I'm a leftie....and this one you can switch the clip around tip up/down & left/right...and that big ol' hole you can open from either side while wearing thick ass gloves...

I have carried this for years! Assisted opening and American made. :thumbupimage.jpg

I've been carrying a Kershaw Ken Onion BOA. I got it because the type of steel the blade is made from was supposed to be this super wonder material, but it's been discontinued so I guess not.

It opens boxes and cuts lines and strings and such just great, though.

I also have a rainbow Ken Onion Scallion, but it's too pretty for EDC.

Smith and Wesson Border Guard. 4.4" blade, 5.6" handle, all metal, nice and heavy. Not the greatest quality, but it fits great in my hand, opens quickly with a solid lock, takes a decent edge, and I don't get upset when it ends up used to pry/hack/screw/etc something that just won't cooperate otherwise.
