Electric Generators - Why?

I picked up this little generator at Costco yesterday due to the threat of more PG&E shenanigans, but now I’m wondering if it’s worth it just to keep the fridge going and charging devices in a power outage. I know they are handy for track day junkies and RV folks, but I’m neither.

How do you use your small gas-powered electric generator?

Now that CA is essentially a third world country with rolling blackouts, people shitting in the streets, and not being able to park your car unattended on city streets, you will find this generator handy for everyday living. Well off people in the third world also have kerosene refrigeration at home, water cisterns at the top of their houses to avoid third world everyday problems, like water rationing.
Under the current regime we get closer everyday. :thumbup

Whelp, season over, can you still return it and get your money back? :twofinger :laughing

No way! I still don’t know what I’m going to do with it, but it feels good having it in the garage. :laughing

Zip tie it to an ebike..?

: laughing YES! Holy crap, this is GENIUS. If you get a generator and just strap it to your e-bike, you can run it FOREVER. You just need to stop sometimes to put gas in the generator.

PERFECT!
