Elk Grove Police...yeah I've had my run in with them as well.

Obey all laws and regulations, and everything will be fine.

I prefer to know the laws and regulations.

That way we are able to better understand them and have a bit more fire power on your discussions with the officers when you are stopped for a minor infraction!

I am currently living in Sacramento and in fact have had no interaction with the police department out here. Then again I have not gone on a ride with the lovely women riders who were involved in this zombie story!

Late last Thursday afternoon I was riding in Galt, which is just a few miles south of Elk Grove. So I've just crossed over Hwy 99, going WB. Traffic is bunched up in both directions on that short, 1-lane each way concrete bridge. My side of traffic allowed me to share up along the DY line until I saw something that made me stop pronto. It's a black-and-white cruiser (Sacto-area PD, I think) and the LEO, with his light bar all flashing, is motoring down the middle of that bridge, on top of the DY line. As he reached me, he stopped his cruiser and, through his open window, and rather dramatically (but he was soooo cute too!), said: "OBEY ALL TRAFFIC LAWS!"



No emergency need for his flashing lights. He just wanted to get out of the clusterphuck of traffic.

That is entirely possible. However, it's pretty much common knowledge that hot chicks usually get off with a warning instead of getting cited, especially when they bat their eyelashes..

What concerns me, Beetlejuice, is your posts for a while now. Are you OK? The B I have seen so often could cut steak with his tongue. Methinks you are getting older and milder? Showing mercy? The end of an era?

Actually, I also wonder how all the officers copped the same attitude, unless a number of those present just stood around and didn't contribute. I figure if you're riding with someone waving a red flag, don't be surprised if the bull gores you also.
