End of Santa Cruz wharf, along with the Blue Dolphin restaurant collapsed

Total bummer for the restaurant that is now floating in the drink. Glad nobody was hurt!

The end of the wharf, which has been under repair just collapsed due to large waves. The video shows idiots standing at the end......

Idiots huh?

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Santa Cruz fire confirms to KION a 150 foot portion of the wharf fell into the water, taking three construction workers down into the ocean.

I wouldn’t have been so quick to judge .

However. The wharf, really…? There were restaurants there... it seems most are still standing -- apparently the only place that's fallen is a "Dolphin" that had been closed for construction.

Cayucos pier was rebuilt about 5 years ago, it was damaged last year from high surf.
Last 20 foot got hammered and lost. Currently blocked off.
I believe more piers have been damaged, last few years.

I think we need to normalize allowing idiots to do idiot things without shame. Perhaps the gene pool will cleanse itself :ROFLMAO:

Chuck Darwin to the white courtesy phone...

It gets worse. Seems a man (with no gun to his head) decided climbing out on the debris would be fun, since they were tossing around. The result was rather predictable;

The bummer there is that intelligent people with big hearts are paid to put themselves at risk to save these people from themselves.

That's horrible.

I remember going to that restaurant when I was in college. I walked up to the bar, ordered two shots of tequila, and pounded them before ordering a third.

"Slow down son," said the bartender. "What's the occasion?"

I looked him in the eye, ordered a fourth shot, and after downing it told him I was celebrating my first blow job.

"Hell son, that's wonderful. Santa Cruz is a very special place; this boardwalk has attracted people for as long as it has been here. I can't imagine how many blowjobs have happened under it." He reminisced.

"Let me buy you another shot." He said.

"No thanks," I replied. "If the first four didn't get rid of the taste, one more ain't gonna help."

I saw this in my news feed. Sucks for the restaurant, but it’s a risk you take building it at the end of the pier….or on any pier. Hopefully they can fix the pier and build a new restaurant.

Nobody cry: My friend from Santa Cruz says the Dolphin had terrible food, and what's more, it's resting calmly and mostly in one piece in the mouth of the San Lorenzo river. I'm sure it can be restored to its former glory.

It needed new carpet before. That will likely be on the restoration list. :p
