Energica Eva review/write up

Someone from http://electric.motorcycles liked my write up so much they asked me to publish it to their site.

not to just sit back and wait for all those royalty checks to come in!

I got one.

Great for hanging out at Starbucks.

Literally had 3 random dudes come up to me while parked outside. This bike is a total cock magnet.

You ride a Grom on 17? You absolute madman.

Many people commute on Groms because of financial limitations and/or lack of motorcycling experience. And then there's mrzuzzo :laughing

I actually got the Grom from OP of this thread many years back. It's my second one, first one was stolen. Still riding it.

I put a 143cc BBK on it a bunch of other go-fast parts so I can keep up with the speed limit uphill on 17. :laughing It's a fun commuter but I switched offices from Palo Alto to San Jose so my commute isn't as bad any more, and with the light traffic it's not as usable.

It's definitely a change going from the Grom to the Energica... 10hp to 171hp.

Sold my last big bike a year ago (VFR800) because I wasn't really enjoying it.

The Energica carries its weight well just like OP said. I was worried about shitty suspension but it's actually pretty good. The bike feels surprisingly nimble. I'm very impressed.

So you just have the Grom and Energica now? That's awesome. :thumbup

I sat on a Ribelle at CalMoto in Livermore and the seat was horrible lol. That would be the first thing I replaced.

Poop that they gave up on the site, gonna copy pasta so it's at least still here cause Budman aint giving up on barf any time soon. Still loving my Energica and it's running just fine! She a faithful steed.

Any noticeable battery degradation? Has the 45*F weather decreased range?

I thought it would but When i look at the numbers i seem to be getting roughly what i've always been getting. around 80 miles of mixed use and not giving a fuck. I've also gotten fatter since i bought the bike, so idk

I do notice that in the colder weather there is more voltage drop, like cut off (less beans when WTFO throttle) when the battery gets lower. But i don't have any hard numbers on that, just what i seem to notice.

Wow! Thanks for this write up.
