Enloe/Calstar Flightcare Program

Air ride

Right on thats a great idea! I'll sign up pronto.

Did I follow correctly that Enloe (and partners Reach and Calstar) do NOT cover Willow Springs?

If so, what coverage would I need to get to be covered there (or other tracks that I'd want to ride at... Reno Fernley, Pahrump, Miller)?

Cheers,
Tigre

Does that "thunderhill" group still work? After that airlift thread, I'm seriously thinking about it...

I saw an Enloe chopper at hollister yesterday airlifting someone off the track. It actually looked really new. It had a badass paintjob and looked sporty. 30 bucks and change is a bargain price for a ride in that thing. I'm glad I renewed my membership once I saw that happening. Even if I neve use hopefully my money goes to keeping that company alive.

It is a perpetual code, you can use that or Kneeriders or anything else. According to enloe, they don't really track the codes, they just have a list.

With those codes, I think it is $25/yr for you and your family. Well worth the call, everyone, on a bike or not, should have this coverage. The more people with it, the more services they can provide.

Thanks, filling out the paperwork today... I have pretty good health coverage, but all the paperwork that comes with it, I'm not sure if it covers heli lifts... for $25, just in case doesn't sound bad...

FYI to anyone who barrels down 25 or goes to Hollister Hills. Calstar added a facility at the Hollister Airport (about 500ft from where I sit at work) a few month ago to help service the area, which greatly reduces the transit time if your the first call out.
So, if you spend time down here, may be a cheap investment in yours or your family members life.

Just put my membership form in the mail. Thanks for the reminder!

They send a membership card? Sweet. Do they also send a window decal like CALSTAR does?

Doesnt getting the Enloe membership still cover Calstar as stated in the original post?

I just noticed this thread, but I remember being reminded by Z2 in my last track day about the Enlo program, but forgot about it again. This thread made me wonder if Kaiser would have me covered if I needed to be airlifted, so I called them.

According to them, yes I am, citing an airlift as an ambulatory service, which I only need to pay the $50 deductible for.

Then I wondered if Kaiser makes good on such a coverage and found this reply below:

I had an accident at T-Hill on Apr 1st and was taken by helicopter to Enloe. I didnt have any broken bones or anything but they were considering internal bleeding because my boy had ran me over as I went sliding off of t6. He just couldnt avoid me.

The flight alone was almost 13,000. The Trauma visit was 18,xxx.

Thank God I had Kaiser insurance. they paid for everything minus my deductible which was $100 for ER visits and $75 for the helo ride.

Peace of mind is priceless indeed. :thumbup

hm. How long does it take them to process? It's been 10 days, and they haven't even cashed the check yet.

EDIT: Called them, and the check should clear in a day or so. They're mailing my stuff today or tomorrow. So, to answer my own question: About 2 weeks.

2nd EDIT: Just for closure, my cards and stuff arrived in the mail Monday, May 4.

question. Orginal posts talks about the group discount, that post is over 3 years old. Does any one know if it works.

Yup. Still works!

Thanks, I just mailed my application/money in. I should of done this a while back considering how many trackdays I have al ready done this year. Knock on wood I did not need and not have it (if that makes any sense).

If you dont have it, its to easy! just DO IT, they even take credit card. If your in debt al ready whats another 25 bucks versus a 10k-20k ride in a chopper.

Its been alil over three weeks. I have not received my paper work, but they did charge me already.

I will call them tommorow.
