F4i price?

way way
search by price and see what else you can get in that range. that's an emotion driven price, i wouldn't even bother contacting them.

Is $4350 way too much for this 01-03 F4i w/ 13k miles? Retail in excellent condition is $2605 - $3185. I like the bike, but I don't want to be a dick and super low ball the guy.

You can ask for anything. It's all about what the market will bare. You want to pay that much for a bike that not that rare and over 10yrs old?

Would this be your first bike?

Not my first bike, it would be replacing my 02 YZF600R. I've seen quite a few around the bay area for ~$3500 with low miles, clean title and little or no damage, so $4300 seems quite high, but I guess he can ask whatever he wants if he doesn't really want to sell.

From the little poking around I did, he is VERY high. He could want to sell it, but it could be a "make it worth my while sale". Or, he's just an idiot and as someone else mentioned, pricing it emotionally.

There are plenty of more affordable and appropriately priced F4i's out there.

So...why would you want an F4i? Are you on a budget?

Even $3500 is too high. Even my 929 of the same timeframe wouldn't get that much.

For that price you could easily get an 05-06 pretty much any bike. I got my 05 gsxr for $3600 way back in early 2010.

FYI- these bikes had jerky throttle response. Going from fully closed to barley cracked it doesn't matter how gentle you are. Power comes on suddenly. Not too bad in most conditions, but I hated it on hairpins.

+1 on the question. I owned an '03 YZF600R and rode an F4i a few times. I didn't feel the F4i was that much better. The F4i felt somewhat lighter, but it also felt weaker even up to 10k rpm.

The F4i I rode feels fairly smooth, but pretty weak, with no hint of jerkiness. The SV650 has a much more abrupt throttle, and feels much stronger off the line.

fyi, got my '02 with 23k mi used at a shop a year ago for $3600. Not the best deal but then I also had the reassurance of it being checked out by a shop.

There are much better deals here on barf as well as cl. Be patient and keep looking.

This is it. It's actually not too common to come across the white/red scheme, especially in good condition today. Most F4i's seem to have been chopped up for stunting.

Maybe the one you rode had a quick turn throttle of some sort.

It's worth low 3's. The seller won't get anywhere near what they're asking.

using craigslist and looking at bikes, even in other states, east coast etc...

its seems like f4is have some crazy high price they always want

i see f4i with some neons and a slipon asking 6k!

extra shit purchased on credit cards...gotta pay that off brosef!! :x

I sold mine for ~$3900 a few months ago, same color scheme, fewer miles. It was as clean as a bike could possibly be, with non-riders thinking it was a 2010. That one is overpriced.

F4i's are like the tacoma's of the sportbike world. People ask way too much for their old, high mileage, beat up ride because everyone else that's selling one is doing the same thing.
