My understanding now is that kabazauls is not a duplicate account.

No worries Jim.

Holeshot sure took that one and ran with it, eh? Almost seemed to be claiming that anyone who was not a regular track rat was either a pussy, faggot, liar or in some other harder to quantify way morally challenged, corrupt or even evil in a sneaky and limpdicked way, of course. I suspect that a lot of these track guys who come across as being real arrogant assholes are probably a lot friendlier in person.

Nice to come across a trainwreck of a thread like this without having made it once in a while.

The original intent seemed to be a "shit talking festival" for any track rider who has ever asked a non-track rider "why don't you go to the track?" and the person responded with something other than what they wanted to here. Excuse me but Fuck that!

An hour and 15 minutes after some peace on this thread you come in here flame baiting? Jason, unless you want to address the specific topic of this thread, stay out of it.

Hey BB, I took you on. No one else. Let's get that straight. You, the self proclaimed god of the streets to lead the newbies into riding bliss, but flame away anyone who doesn't live by your definition of "safe rider", BB. Yes, I aimed and shot right for you simply because I've asked you before why you don't attend track days in our past discussions. Your answer was always one of those listed above, and yet I have to hear about your skills over and over.

But also let me be clear, BB: you've never said you'd smoke a bunch of track day'ers. I've never heard that from you. However, your excuses for not making are weak at best.

And you'll never read from me that I'll smoke street riders because I ride the track. Maybe I'll infer my skillset is more advanced because of my background, but I have no idea who's on the other end of that keyboard. Ask Frank about that one...we had a good one on first meeting. Now I respect and like Frank. So, that being said, there's no reason to make enemies over 1's and 0's in cyberspace with a guy who just can't comprehend the intent of the thread.

But you BB, well at least you take the time to throw a punch when the opening arises. I'd think you a pussy if you didn't. But don't forget, I started as a street rider who thought nothing about the track. I didn't even know it existed. When I did, I was a changed man.

If you want to attempt to not infer that the value of a lap at the track is the consistency among the ability to quantify one's ability (with a lap timer) then I'd think you're misreading my comments. The street holds no value for consistency and measuring improvement. What, are you going to look at your RPM's exiting each corner and guess if that was faster? That's a far cry from calling guys who ride the road pussies, BB. In fact, I'm not sure why you'd imply that even, aside from trying to bolster your tarnished rep.

But BB, if you do make it to the track, I'd be glad to show you around. I'm happy to show ANYONE around and help anyone that needs it. Maybe then you'd see how nice I was in person.

Nice to come across a guy who clearly can't practice what he preaches BB. Real nice to see it's the same guy who left a downed rider and laughed about it later online. Yeah, you're a "great guy" Jason.

Jason, you got one in, Berto, you got to reply. No need to continue this here or elsewhere on the board. As Jim says, please keep it to PM's. Consider this an official warning.

HS, you have a mighty odd view of reality. In some ways so crystal clear, in other so horribly distorted. Reminds me of this fellow I once knew who was a gifted megagenius, yet schizophrenic and dysfunctional all at the same time.

As I have said before, I am sure that the track is nice. If I had a truck or a trailer or a car set up for towing and more tools and more inclindation to fuck with bikes instead of ride them and a whole lot more money than I have then I might have already been there a few times. Indeed, one of my biggest concerns is becoming some sort of bleary eyed track junkie willing to trade anything for the next fix, say nothing of the abject poverty that even "cheap" racing could induce.

As for being a self proclaimed god, not sure where that came from, I get accussed of being a guru and other shit a lot by you but cannot recall having made such absurd claims for myself. Funny for a man who has never met me to have so many strong opinions.

For what it is worth I do hope to make it to the track sometime and get a feel for where the limits are. On the street I am so far from the edge of the envelope that I have no idea where it might even be. I have certainly enjoyed autocrossing, which opened some doors for me (and at $15 was an unbeatable bargain for even a cheapass like myself) and strongly suspect that trackdays (or even better track schools) would do the same if not more. Until then, just because a person does not share your passion and have the resource to fuel such a fast burning hobby, does not make him crazy or less of a person.

John, Jim, no worries. This one's done.

Jason, agreed on your salient description.

Thanks Berto, the next word I was gonna type was "click"

I need to get to the track, maybe I can have you tow me around t-hill :thumbup

I'm back to needing four wheels Jim...it's been that long! Truth be told, the psychological sparring with BB has always been fun. He's a worthy opponent!

Let me know when you're going. Keigwins days I'll be at starting in March...to help ya!

I might add that the physical properties involved with a motorcycle do not change from street to track. You will become a better rider with track riding and instruction, period. It will all transfer back into better street riding. Most jobs have vacation time. Most trackdays can be very affordable with a little planning. Riding gear and bike prep, come on, YOU ARE RIDING YOU NEED IT ANYWAY. There are a LOT of people that will help haul your shit to the track, (again, a little planning). There are a great number of very skilled riders that will help teach you better skills. There is nothing different about maximizing traction and minimizing lean angle on the track or the street. Sure you can get some help from the local fast guy on squirell ridge drive, but why play in traffic? Because your mom told you to? Because you want to get arrested? You want higher insurance rates? The track is safer, cheaper and way more fun, end of story.

What's unbelievable is you guys never set your page views to maximum! It's 11 for me!

Ditto.

Wait, does this mean we are required to double team a porn star?
