Fast Track - Fast Fail:
I just got a notice from Fast Track that I owe them for crossing the Bay Bridge without paying. They included a big black ink smudge as proof. :wtf

Here is the deal:
A. The bike was in my garage in the Santa Cruz area on the day of contention.
B. That bike has NEVER been across the Bay Bridge.

Has anyone else ever had something like this happen to them?

Put 'em up..! :troy:( They want your money..! :2cents

Yes. They said they caught my Vespa crossing the Golden Gate Bridge at about the same time of morning that I was crossing it on the BMW.

Go online and look at the picture. Then, using the online form, protest the citation informing them that the plate number in the photo does not belong to you and it was misread by their system. Then when someone actually looks at it (not a computer) they'll dismiss it.

I didn't find any easy way to talk to anyone about it (maybe it was a weekend when I get the citation?) and they did eventually get back to me by email to tell me they dismissed it.

i got a fine in the mail a month ago, saying that i crossed the bridge and didnt pay a toll.

they were right. it was me

get a fastrak pass and add your plate to it ;) in case something like this happens all they gona charge you is like 5 bucks. and then you can tell them that it wasnt you etc... but in case they dont believe you - you will only lose 5 bucks instead of 50+ or w/e the actual fine is

but yeah contact them and tell them it was not you and you refuse to pay ;D

Don't pay and if they have a problem with that, tell um you're gonna go down there and kik their asses. That should settle it.:twofinger

Lucky you!! I got a fine from 3 years ago from the guy that owned my car way before I bought it. They put it in my registration even though it wasn't the same plates and it was in the other owners name. Both DMV and Fastrak said I wasn't my fault but that they wouldn't remove it from my registration.

Ended up paying the fine anyways.

Don't get me started I have 14 $11.25 charges :wtf I am contesting (the only thing going over the bridge is a moto) in the meantime my fastrak balance fell to negative and every carpool crossing has been a violation.

Same thing happened to me. I protested by mail (online form crashed my computer!) and got a response back that, since it was my first offense they would waive the fine and just charge me the toll. I sent a strongly worded letter back and heard nothing for two months. I finally looked up my citation # and saw that it was dismissed. By the way, the photo of "my" bike, was some big Harley bagger, not my KLR.
