I quit carrying it with me on the bike a long time ago with no repercussions.

BTW - The mylar bag, at least in my case, does not prevent the transponder from being read. I've even folded the open edge over and taped it shut but it still beeps when I go through any one of 7 Bay Area bridges. :dunno

The HOV lane on 580 and 680, north of 580 have been charging my account for my motorcycles. I have a smart pass in my pannier and its not picking it up. lame!
