Feeding My Dogs Watermelon.

Lefty-the dogs I met are fabulous as is their trainee!
Never gave them seeds thank goodness and now I am wondering if any milk products are ok-for instance cottage cheese mixed with shreds of pig?

Mr Homer will be 15 next month. Rescued him 14 years ago.
He likes carrots, but limit his intake to a couple small pieces. He likes tortilla chips, but lets me have all the salsa.
Homer loves peanut butter, he gets about a teaspoon full anytime I open the jar. And I let him lick out the yogurt cup when I'm done.

My ol Airedale, Abby-Normal, loved bananas.
The ol Weiner dogs loved melon. If you held the rind sideways, they would nibble back & forth like an old typewriter.

Is the yogurt milk based?
After ingestion does Mr. H. act like he is possessed, spewing vomit all over the live in priest? Very curious.

^^ :laughing Mel - your visual cracked me up and I certainly hope no little dogs are spewing vomit at the moment or ever at your house.

If processed food is bad for humans then why would all that dried dog food crap people feed them be any different.
Id be suspicious of any commercial dog food whether dry or wet.

my doggies have not spewed vomit over my shoes lately.
If they did I'd have to lock them back in the closet!

(knows that it is not funny to make statements regarding animal abuse. I'd report myself to APS immediately)

nonfat milk based. I get the 100 calorie Yoplait. Less sugar and the cup is perfect for Homer to lick. Less than a teaspoon full. Never noticed an issue with his potty.

My Housemate, John is a super nice guy, but he is no Priest.. :teeth

Melissa-

Thank you. We love our babies, and i can tell that you spoil yours as well. That is one of the things that made me fall in love with Rosa, she is just as passionate about animals as i am.

finally confirmation!
thanks man.

Seedless or with seeds?

"The answer is yes, with a couple of precautions. Seeds could cause an intestinal blockage, so make sure you remove them. It’s also probably not a good idea to allow a dog to chew on the rind, because it can cause gastrointestinal upset.

The fruit itself is a health-food powerhouse, low in calories and packed with nutrients—vitamins A, B6, and C, and potassium." Source: http://www.akc.org/learn/dog-health/can-dogs-eat-watermelon/

Plus you may end up growing watermelons where the poop lands. :p My brother's dog planted roma tomatoes in the back yard.

Gomer loves watermelon. He also like carrots and jicama and lots of other veggies. Some applesauce with a dab of peanut butter frozen in an ice cube tray makes great treats. We also made popsicles out of smooshed banana, pea it butter a a little coconut oil. He freaking loves those. He's teething and its regularly over 100 degrees here, so the cold treats are great.

We were planning on feeding him raw with the green tripe, but man it's too messy and a lot of work. He does enjoy raw eggs with the shell, but so far it's dry kibble for. Last of his diet. Never had an issue with diarrhea or vomiting.

Tomato juice in their dry food.

Keeps their pee from turning the grass brown. IDK why, but I can confirm it works.

My dog is ready to at least try anything I'm eating. So far the only thing he won't take is bananas. He eats lettuce :wtf

We had a chihuahua-mix that the ONLY thing she wouldn't eat was lettuce. I'd give her a piece, it would touch her tongue, she wouldn't close her mouth but pivot her head so it would fall out on to the floor. :laughing Sometimes I'd do it just to watch the show. RIP Brandy.

Let them eat poo.

Fathead will pretty much each anything. She's a dumpster more or less. Her favorite is garlic roasted broccoli :laughing

dem farts :barf

she doesn't get table scraps, everything is consumed from her bowl.

She loves strawberries and blueberries and it's a pain keeping her out of the bushes

My cat eats (and loves) peas, carrots (the carrots must be cooked though) and avocado. I don't let him have much, but asked the vet and have looked up these things and its seems to be fine. So your dog isn't the only one with weird tastes!
