fight. biker vs motorist road rage incident

I can't believe the stupid responses here.
Never remove your helmet, unless asked to do so by a cop.
Perfect head butt tool
has come in handy for me twice.
KO is instant !
Lucky you. Wait till you meet someone who can really fight, then we will see how useful your helmet is with them. Your vision is limited, and you might as well have a leash strapped to your head. I hope your luck continues. :thumbup

Don't feed the trolls Clutchslip. We both know he is full of shit.

If I come across someone who looks like they can fight I need my helmet on so that there'll be no fumbling as I run to my bike and throw a leg over.

Now, THIS is a philosophy that I can subscribe to. :thumbup

You cannot fight with a helmet on your head! The helmet throws off all your coordination.

You guys are all wrong regarding helmet on/off. If you're getting into a fight you have to do it like this. Remove helmet, place on ground very slowly. Then remove shoes...slowly move them next to the helmet, neatly. Remove shirt, fold shirt, place atop helmet. Remove pants, neatly fold pants, place atop the rest.

Repeat this until fully nude, look the guy in the eye and say "ok, I'm ready. Let's do this." NOBODY wants to fight a naked guy. And if you're like me, you might get lucky aftwerwards. Chicks love the hairy skeleton look.

I love how everyone is all of a sudden a "tough guy" when debating what one should do in the event you have someone coming after you out on the road. Years ago I lost a close friend to gunfire in which a stupid incident elevated until the other party elected to get a gun and kill my friend. It doesn't really matter how "big" you are, even a 120 lb kid can pull a trigger.

My point being does it really matter who did what? The road is a crazy place, count your blessings and move on. The time you decide to be a tough guy and teach someone a lesson is the time you run into Mr. Crazy and he elects to bring his .357 mag to the "argument". I don't care if people call me a p*ssy or b*tch...I'm going home alive if I can avoid confrontation at all costs.

Thoughts on keeping helmet on for protection or is too large and easy for someone to grab and control your head?

I follow the number one rule in most helmeted sports... never take off your helmet.
WTF anyway who was driving? :wtf
The guy looks like he came out of the back seat.
This would of been one of those yell in your helmet deals to me, and drive away.:wow

Street fight

Loser to hospital
Winner to jail, maybe on manslaughter charge or worse.

I don't think people realize that a closed fist can be a deadly weapon, as in "you can kill someone" with it. It's not like TV, where combatants (In this case 2 ignorant hillbillies) get a few scuffs after trading blows.

Ha! DA's don't give a dingo's kidney about dead riders.

True.

Just saying most civilians haven't ever really injured or been injured in actual combat. However, if you are willing to pay the price, you may as well "make a point" when you inflict punishment.

Really, If we meet up I'll gladly show you how it's done

Hey anytime you want to meet up and show me I'm down. I assume this is done in a safe environment because I'm not looking to injure you or get injured by you.

Every two weeks I hold a full contact weapon to whatever group in Campbell. PM me and I will give you more details.

Applying corporal punishment to complete strangers is a bad idea for many reasons, not to mention that it is just more bad public relations for riders.

Perhaps the worst being that some people would make a career getting revenge on you, your wife, your kids, parents, grandparents, co-workers over something like that. Revenge can be as minor as a dirty look or as serious as conducting a full-blown massacre. Depending on who you have offended, the results might be incredibly gruesome.

Some people take things personally...

Video evidence at trial, thanks very much. All parties at fault.

Bunch of mma experts up in here.
I have been meaning to respond to this. Ya' know when I talk about street fighters, I never think of martial arts guys first. Most martial arts are for defending against the kind of fighters that I have seen in my life. Bad-ass, scary mofos, that will f' you up - quick, and they WILL grab your helmet, jacket, belt, pants or anything else to get control of you, and then kick/punch/jab/claw/whatever the hell out of you until you stop moving or someone stops them.
I think this video answers the question, "Helmet on or off?"
Helmet off? He knocked the guy down, but the guy got right up. He just didn't do anything after he got up. Now, if the helmeted guy had hit the other guy in the temple or at the mandible connection point with a fist, he might have knocked him out.
