Hi guys,

One of the guys in our group hit a pothole and ended up with a flat tire. Is anyone around to help tow the bike to Santa Clara Cycle or any other bike shop? I PM'd Connie already. Thanks so much.

Man. I'm slow on barf today!

Glad it's taken care of already :)

Update : Connie is on her way to help this person... stand by.... help is on the way.

Amazing how hard a bike with 2 flat tires is to roll... :wow

Rider is home safe with the bike, which has 2 dented rims. If anyone knows a shop that can straighten bent rims, can they post up? He'll also need some help pulling the wheels... he's got a rear stand, but not a front. Any BARFer willing to step up and help out a nice guy get his bike back on the road? :)

Alex (aciurczak) can give more details but this is the place:

Wheel Techniques
3280 Edward Ave Unit D
Santa Clara, CA 95054

^^^ and BARFers to the rescue again! Thank you!! :thumbup

I have a front stand you can use. PM me and I can get it to you.

rider of the moto with no more tires :(

hey guys... first time back on barf since 09..
when I was sitting up at junction and my gf suggested I post on barf to get a ride instead of a multi-hundred dollar tow, I was surprised and skeptical... little did I know that connie would come through and help me out... thanks again!

I will call the places about fixing my rims, thanks for the suggestions.

pm'ing dallen about a front stand.

bit of info on the crash:
-tires were in bad need of replacement (which I now know)
-front end gave way on a turn, pushing me wide until I hit a pothole (damaging the rim, fast leak around tire)
-jumped a 2 foot ditch and landed in the dirt, where I somehow managed to stay upright
-through the 20-ish foot ride in the dirt (between the 2 foot ditch on the left and small shrubs/trees to the right), i hit another rock with the rear tire, damaging the rim so that all the air went bye-bye

I was happy to help out, Jay. Seriously- better than moping around the house, which I'd been doing for most of the day. Hurry up and get those wheels fixed, Ima tow you around Mines and show you the good lines... you know, the ones actually on the asphalt... :laughing
And next time, you get to tell the stories... can't wait to hear the Euro Adventures! :thumbup

Smart girlfriend. She just might be a keeper ;)

+1
Thanks for posting up, Linda, and I look forward to meeting you! :thumbup

Where you the group with the green 250, 919, F4 and a fourth bike I can't remember?

There was the aforementioned group that left the junction ahead of me, and I saw them off the side of the road... everyone seemed ok and no one was waving frantically... but it was just a mile or two outside the Junction.
