Oh bugger, I was listening to Badge whilst taking a leak and an AirPod 2 (right side) took a swim and was flushed down the loo. PISS! Let's see if AppleCare comes through (stay tuned if interested). Heads Up Alviso! A Lone AirPod2, right side,d is inbound! True story BTW......

Note to self I suppose; whilst taking a leek, keep one hand on each AirPod and .... well, guess the rest. Or maybe sit down?

I am a fast flusher I suppose. Doing the business while enjoying music (rocking to Badge), flush, OH %%%% too late. In future I will remove the AirPods beforehand. $104.29 later, lesson learned. Erm, in hindsight this may sound bad, but no funny business was afoot, I just happened to be listening to Clapton whilst taking a whiz. I wonder how many AirPods are in San Francisco Bay? One plus counting.......

I was considering upgrading to the AirPods Pro 3; I wonder if they come with life jackets?

regardless of what you were listening to, when it went from stereo to mono (or stopped altogether) - that was a clue. maybe stick to ear pods? at least you’d still have a fish on the line.

I have over the ear headphones and don't really care for any kind of earbuds, I have yet to find a pair, including Apple, that stay firmly in my ears. Hence the loss; it fell out just when I flushed. These have had the best fit and seal of any that I have tried. I am surprised at how good they sound.

Thanks for the rhyme Bill, that's very clever!

Apple will sell just one, it is already on order.

My AirPod Pros wouldn’t stay in my ears that well - mostly at the gym and on the bicycle. I tested a ton of earbuds of Amazon to find a good replacement. Bose QuietComfort Earbuds were the clear winner. They sound great, stay in amazing, are very comfortable, and the mic is better than AirPods.

I use wired earphones only. They’re cheap so I keep a set in my desk at work, in my truck, at home, in my bike jacket.
I don’t listen to music with them other than occasionally at work, they’re primarily for talking on the phone. If I’m broken down on side of the road and needing to troubleshoot something while taking on the phone my hands are free and I don’t have to worry about the batteries going dead. Although this has never happened yet.

Second note for you. All earphones that aren't wired are awful.

Second note? I know, I know. As I have stated I don't care for buds. They serve a purpose for me though; I hope I can be forgiven. :geek: I do own three pair of conventional headphones, two of which are wired.

I recently bought a stupid USB-C Headset. Very angry phones don't have an audio jack anymore. Almost as bad as the lack of removable batteries.

I received my replacement today, and taught myself to lean back when done, check both ears, then flush. Fuck me, it's like being a kid all over again learning how to take a piss. Perhaps I should start to sit.
